Where I live, what high school (high school is not mandatory)you get into than what uni/college. I'm in 8th grade next year and I have to get my grades up. Because in the first semester of 9th grade is the semester where you choose what high school you want to attend. In the 2nd semester you get the answer if you got accepted. The pressure is on us sooo early. This helped me a little with the stress

Aww I’m sorry to hear how stressed you are. A lot of people go through this but if there’s anything I learned, it’s that you do NOT need to freak out and dwell on all the stress even if your friends are! Take things step by step and remember what’s more important is you do your best. That’s all that you can ask. :)

I’m currently trying to start a non-profit organization and I have so many questions! I’m going to be a freshman in high school this year and I want to start a non-profit organization with my friends to set up “workshops”/camps in my area to teach disadvantaged kids special subjects that you don’t really learn at school. How do I get the word around to start bringing in kids and do I need to file to be a legitimate non-profit organization before I can call myself one? I would love to know how your two friends started theirs! ❤️

Hi!! Wow that's awesome and sounds like a really meaningful project. In high school, students typically speak to admin at our school and try to get connected to service partners or schools they could potentially teach at. Some people may already have their own ties to a local school within their community. Technically, to be an official NGO you typically need to pay to be registered by the government while fulfilling certain requirements. This may differ depending on where you are. I feel a lot of times people call their groups NGOs because quite literally, they're organizations not for profit. I'm not too familiar with how loosely you can use NGO but you could phrase it to say you started a project or organization! I think what matters more is what you do rather than what the official title is called - I'd focus on the former. Best of luck!

I don’t have much experience here but I would suggest researching the prerequisite courses you should take for those majors! Also, to look at career paths and see how people who want to become those, prepare for it :)
