Great Walk Around! I followed you through the entire yard. Auto Salvage Yards like this one have been gone from my area since the early 70's, after about 1968 they started to crush all the old cars, a real shame. Many of the cars you walked by brought memories back to me. My first car was a 1960 Studebaker Lark, and I saw several of them in the yard. I was also big at the time into 1956 Cadillac's, and I saw a few of those on your walk. Between the years 1969 and 1977 about I went through about 2 or 3 cars a year, old wrecks I would fix up and drive for a while then sell or trade for something else. I saw most of them on your walk around. A Great way to spend a Day indeed. I Hope you find what you are looking for on one of these walks. Most of the old cars in this yard have been pretty much stripped to the bone though and one would have to have a VERY BIG BANK ACCOUNT to attempt any restoration I think. However, it is so interesting just to walk by or around these old relics " It don't cost a cent " and it's Good Exercise to boot. Again, Good-Luck with your Auto Hunt!!

Thanks Bubby. I enjoy the hunt. Even tho Guys have been hunting and finding classics for years. There are still plenty to find. Not really in Junk yards or salvage any more. But Private Collections are where its at. These guys who bought them all up over the years is your best bet. Why my show is different than others. Thanks for watching. More to come.

THESE CARS SHOULD HAVE BEEN SOLD OFF YEARS AGO INSTEAD OF BEING LEFT TO ROT AWAY.. THIS IS A CRIME IN ITSELF TO LET CLASSIC CARS ROT AWAY IN A FIELD AND THEN YEARS LATER EXPECT SOMEBODY TO PAY TOP DOLLAR TO RESTORE A CAR THEY'LL NEVER ENJOY OR FINISHING RESTORING.

Thanks for the tour. These were the cars I grew up with (born 1955). I was surprised to see a 1981/82 Datsun 200SX - at 1:02:46. Sadly I had to sell the car a little over a year after I bought it (new). I completely snapped my achilles tendon on my left leg. My leg being in a full cast made it impossible to drive a stick shift. Oh well things happen. Again super video. A nod and a wag to Spot.

Thank you! The tour was amazing. We will be traveling through the SW to Texas and will definitely check out Texas wrecking yards. I have a few questions of your filming if you don't mind. Do you film your walk arounds with a hand held tripod for your phone? Or is someone filming on a camera? I ask because I have just done a similar walk-through of the Big M Automotive/Classic Car Dismantling and I had a lot of jumpy footage while walking. Love Texas.

I liked the falcon ranchero you whizzed by. This collection should be given special historical recognition by the state.I can only imagine the work it took to accumulate this gorgeous vista. Man you kind of seemed irritated walking by all the Studebakers I know you said you were born in 82 but you also said you loved fast cars. They had a car in the end of the 50's that did 150 mph that was really fast in those days it was the Hawk they had the silver hawk and golden hawk and around 1960 they made the GT hawk. I swore I saw you walk by 2 GT's and either a silver or golden but I could not see the wings on the back so I'm not sure but maybe right before the GT they took them off the GT did not have them. They had 3 engine versions all 289 V8's it had a real wide V between opposing pistons and a tubed intake like Pontiac. There was the thunderbolt which had a 2 barrel then the R1 that had a hopped up cam and 4 barrel then the R2 that had a paxton supercharger. At the beginning of the 60;s they made the Avanti which had either the R1 or R2 engine. After Packard dragged the corporation down sucking all the profits off Studebaker and they all collapsed and I think Nash was also part of that the Avanti rights were sold off to a private company that continued to make them when they ran out of Studebaker 289's they bought fords and GM motors and made those cars up into the 70's. Back then it was the big 4 not the big 3 Studebaker was actually a good car company it was Packard that was the problem and they were like the mother company. I had a GT Hawk I never got it on the road but it was a cool looking car it had a 4 speed with cragers and white paint dual exhaust I had a guy tell me he had one just like it { he was my age so it had to be in the late 70"s or 80'smost likely the same car he was from the same area the car came from} said he raced a car not on a highway but a 4 lane road and said he hit 140 I know the road he had to have some get up and go to get to that speed think about it out of the box my 92 vette I think was 161 TE that 1960 Hawk was getting there.

In Houston their were yards like these but the demand for land slowly evaporate their existence . Hardy’s Auto salvage was one were I found a perty pair of high back Mach 1 seats for my 69 mustang , this was back in 94 , the old man was still around and had kept it going with the help of his son , he must have been in his eightys by then , I remember just walking and gaulking at all the old rows of vintage stuff , the gallery of old photos on the wall in the office showed the age of the place . Hardy Toll road blew through half of the property he owned but it still remains today , just no old cars , ,,, they say ,,, To continue my quest on parts a man who had his own private stash of mustang parts , he had it gated and secured , you had to call in to get access , once their he would show parts he had if you were buying . I didn’t need much but wanted the tour , remember racing motors , pictures of wrecked Shelby’s over the last 3 decades , just all cool stuff he had , around the same year . Then up north of Houston , bugger Reds place , he drove a big block hot rod red ford truck , I remember seeing every muscle car from the 60s , 70s , he had been around for quit sometime , I think all these men came from a different era that spoke of tradition . They would talk with you for a bit , then let you pass openly onto their land after you produced for them one thing , a fever they once had , it’s knowledge .

My first car at age 16 was a 1969 Chevy impala custom coupe. It was a big block 396, turbo 400 trans, and a posi rear end. The year was 1979 and it cost me $300. The day of my birthday I went to the DMV and passed my test, and drove my car home. I got my first paycheck job at age 14 at a local drive in burger joint, and that $300 represented a lot of bussed tables, and a lot of dishes washed.

You have a pretty good grasp on many of these cars. My favorite is the 68 coronet. That lays little ford you mentioned was a 11957 custommy parents bought a new ome in 1957serms like Dad had to put a new clutch in it about every 6 months. Had a 272 with 3 on the tree. Several years laterI bought a beater that hardly had a clutch at all. That's when O learned to replace a clutch. Sophomore in high school it even had an old rebuilt engine from sears that was maroon in color. Got some pretty good mechanical experience there. Not complaining though. It help me through the years since. I never considered a car that broke as junk since I learned from them. I enjoy your channel. I was just thinking it would take me two weeks to see that yard because I remember almost every car out there. thanks Much!!!!👍👍👍😁✌️👌🤙🏻😁

I believe that little jag type 4 Dr. with the Pontiac On the deck lid may have been or had an Austin Healey Rear End. Maybe someone was trying to make a 4 DR. Healey which are rare as Hens teeth. Thanks for your time. George Miles.

Nice video.👍 I believe I spotted a baby blue 68/69 dodge d100 shortbed all the way in the back by the green satellite . Loved to own it . I could use that short bed from that 80’s c10 too.

2:32 How did they tow that old house to the junkyard in one piece? And why would they tow it it to a junkyard instead of demolishing it?
