I have one of these in .380. Super easy to point and shoot. Everyone I have ever taught to shoot says that the Remington is the one they were most comfortable with.

The Remington Model 51 was made from harder steel over Colt's softer steel. I had both and they were .32 ACP until they were stolen. The Model 51 was a smoother firing pistol as the Colt was prone to muzzle flip upon firing.

TY for the disassembly tutorial. I inherited my grandfather's and am glad to know now how to clean it.

Steve, I saw one of those last week at the store I work at: Davenport Guns! The customer was looking for a holster for it! His was a 380. I couldn't believe that he was shooting it!

Its probably a mistake about the slide starting to move only after the breach block hits the stop. At first bolt and slide are travelling together like in blowback guns, then the bolt hits the stop, but the slide got enough energy to tilt the bolt out of this recess. Then bolt and slide go together again.
@derekbrogan42415 жыл бұрын
For getting the slide on, I just partially incert an empty magazine, hold down the hammer and pull and hold the trigger. This way you can let the barrel back into the slide without having to do that 3 handed operation you just did

I have one I just got, and its in serious need of cleaning. I haven't found out how to open up the bottom yet, but I have ideas I want to try. I think the grip pin is the key to the kingdom, so to speak.

Thanks for the video.. I see the rational and now I see why the browning design 1910/1955 was popular if having more recoil...

Thank you so much for this very information video. Can you please consider making one on the take down of the Ortgies pocket pistol? It’s a wonderful little contemporary of witch there are still quite a few around.

How does the breech-block backend rotate up with the slide moving back? What is translating the backward force to an upward force to move the breech-block out of the lock?

I would like to see two pistols in your program. One is the German-made Haenel .25 cal pistol. It has a unique system and is a nice-looking little pistol. The second pistol is the Sauer & Sohns 38H. It is a .32 cal German-made pistol. It has features that make it really uniques and classy.

Good watch ty. Neat breech design. Could you do a video on the evolution of the Beretta 92 and parts interchangeability? Just bought a used Beretta 92G-SD and want to spruce it up for high round count shooting and a surpressor just for s&g.

Not delayed blowback. Definitely a locked breach. You cannot open the gun by putting a rod down the barrel. Peterson called it hesitation LOCK not hesitation delay

(Semi) automatic pistols were fairly new and a lot of talented people were designing and patenting their versions. Pedersen had to work around everyone else's patents.
