Love the National Time Recorder on the wall. The "Something" piece of metal is to convert the safety to "Automatic". Browning/ Miroku are built to last. The lockup and action are one of the strongest out there. Sandy

They are a fantastic gun! I haven't had any trouble putting any cartridges through it to be honest but the Hull 21g CompX is so smooth! but then so are pretty much all the 28 gram loads i have been using also! Have fun with it! you'll have to upload some videos of it in action!

Great review pal. Have been looking at this and the Beretta SP1 as my first gun but this always seems to call to me the most. Just out of interest, where abouts are you based as I'm in Leeds myself and have my first lesson/taster at Barwick in Elmet on the 29th of this month after seeing your video of the place and it just being 5 minutes up rd from me. Once again pal, great vid, Chris.

Hi Elliott, thanks for the review. As someone looking to buy my 1st shotgun, both the Browning and Beretta are on the radar amongst a few others. Interesting to know that you initially bought a gun that in hindsight wasn't suitable for you. I too am torn between making a lower value purchase which I might regret within a year or going straight into a higher value purchase (I have a budget limit around this price point) which will stay with me for years. For this reason I'm pretty sure that I want to go to a seller that allows me to try before I buy even if it ends up at my upper limit. Like you I've trawled utube and was looking for a UK perspective so thanks for providing a user review. I would have liked some comparison with regard to the Baretta (presumably silver pigeon) that you say was bought for your father. Happy shooting.

Hi Allan, You cant go wrong with either Browning or Beretta. You will find people that are very loyal to one or the other. I personally wouldn't consider a beretta and my dad wouldn't consider a browning! You will know which is right for you. You will find that from going to your local gun shop and just picking them up you will probably know straight away which you prefer and which fits better! I would say, that although there are some good budget guns our there, it is worth getting a higher level gun second hand. You can pick up Brownings/ Berettas second hand in extremely good condition and you wont lose much money on them and you will have a much better gun for your money. I would say that once you are up and running with your shooting you will soon want to upgrade anyway so it will save you some pennies in the long run investing in the right gun to start with. let me know how you get on!

Hi Elliot, just to update you from my earlier post that I settled on the Browning B525 sporter one after trying out a few brands. The Browning just seemed to fit me much better. Enjoying watching your other posts.
@hypegamergig17855 жыл бұрын
Allan B , Beretta or Browning is more like religion question. Buy the one that fits you better. Both are fantastic guns. But I am already brain washed and I am sure nothing can beat browning 525 in this price range.

If you load the audio into audacity take a sample without you speaking then select noise reduction you can get rid of a good portion of the white noise on the background. Leaving the mic recording the ambient noise for a few minutes before you start can help

Hi I see they do a trap version as well, can you use the sport for trap as well as sporting clays
@elliot_shooting5 жыл бұрын
I have used mine for all disciplines as well as clays and game. It’s a great all rounder in my opinion. I am not a fan of trap specific guns but then I mainly shoot English sporting!

I think I'll buy the same gun as I can then do sporting as well as trap, many thanks

Good vid pal. Did you find the action very stiff at first? Had a look at one at the weekend and it was really, really stiff... Something Thats common on 525s apparently.
@elliot_shooting2 жыл бұрын
Yeah mate. It was a bit stiff to start off with but it soon loosened up. It’s something I was willing to put up with for a bit for that sturdy 525 action though. The 525GL didn’t have this issue though when I got a new one of those 🤔

This or beretta silver pigeon ?????? Please reply needing to know as just applied for licensee

Tom Wieland I prefer the Browning. But I originally preferred the beretta. What made my mind up was by going and having a look at them both in person at the local gun shop. You will naturally find which one fits you better and feels “right” when you can handle them both. They are both good guns it all comes down to which fits better and feels more shootable for you. Both brands are fantastic and make great guns, I just personally preferred the browning as it felt more solid, durable and locks together very well. Not to mention it is a fantastic looking gun! You don’t have to just look at beretta or browning though, there are lots of other good gun makers out there too if you want to break the mould slightly 👍

Tom Wieland not especially no. But the stocks do vary slightly on every gun as you can imagine. And it also depends what you want as you can always change the finish on the stock 👍

@@elliot_shooting what gun did you pick up and do you have any thoughts on the beretta silver pigeon 1 and white onyx. I'm thinking of a starter gun instead of browning because of its thinner body !
@elliot_shooting5 жыл бұрын
Sam'sTUBEVlogs i picked up a Mossberg 500. If you are on Instagram you can see it @elliotrobertsshooting I have just put up some video of it! I don’t know much about the onyx. The silver pigeon is a very good gun and berettas are very popular! It really does come down to what fits you and feels most comfortable. One of the biggest questions when getting in to shooting is whether to go for browning or beretta. They are both fantastic makes, it just depends what you find ‘feels’ better in your own hands. I love the look of berettas probably slightly more than Browning in some cases but I just feel Brownings are made slightly better and I prefer a more solid feeling gun. Not to mention the Browning name is one of the best in the industry. If you haven’t seen it you should watch “tales of the gun; John moses Browning” on KZbin, that will tell you loads about how great Browning is. That being said, if you prefer the look and feel of the silver pigeon and it fits you well, you cannot go wrong with one of those! Hope that helps! 👍 Where you in with your dad by any chance at yorkguns looking at a 525/ silver pigeon?
