I love these little rifles. They're as much a work of art as a firearm.

FYI, you do not need to 'unscrew' the inner magazine tube, 1/4 turn and it is good to pull it out. Also 1/4 turn locks it back in after loading and it doesn't matter which direction you turn it, just turn it 1/4 turn.

Hard to not dry fire on last round. Without last round hold open. Browning says we should not dry fire but unless u count rounds it is imposable . I have not seen any damage from last round dry fire .

Bought one of these used - shot it, was disappointed with the accuracy, then i noticed a small nick in the end of the barrel- recrowned with some lapping compound and a brass acorn nut. Shoots excellent groups now.( paid 200 with an old k4 weaver scope) 👍

Know you are kidding but Browning saw to that in his invention of the gun. While you shouldn't do it as a practice, the area the firing pin strikes does not peen the chamber - it's set just right so that it strike a round in the chamber but does not go ahed far enough to hit the chamber. John Browning was an absolute genius.

I have a Norinco clone of this rifle that I've had since the 1990's, and I'm grateful that you're reminding shooters that this outstanding little Browning-designed rifle is still out there and available. It's a terrific little .22 caliber rifle. Great balance; it points effortlessly--Browning was an amazing firearm designer. Thanks for your video!

It is an awesome little rifle. I wouldn't mind owning a Norinco version. Around here, I have seen a few Remington copies, but no Norincos.

That means you have good eyes😊he just reminded just have good they shoot😊still a little high at 50 yards should be dead on at a 100 yards . That gun is high at 25 yards as well but the group is one hole! Every body talks about this or that is accurate but we forget that John M Browning already had accuracy figure out in 1912 and produced in 1914 in Germany .

I recently bought a SA-22 and I am now waiting to pick it up. When I assembled the gun at the shop, it felt pretty loose, but I had a bunch of guys waiting in line behind me so I didn't spend much time messing with it at the counter. I'm wondering, can those barrels be attached counterclockwise, which would actually UNSCREW it and make it loose, or is there something to prevent it from spinning counter clockwise? Thinking maybe that's what I did and why it felt loose from the factory. Thanks
@professorpewpuew
@professorpewpuew 10 ай бұрын
The short answer is no. The rifle can't be screwed together or unscrewed per se. The takedown mechanism is a set of interrupted threads. You mate them together and give it a twist to lock the rifle down. If both halves are still loose you can turn the knurled barrel nut to get it just loose enough to assemble.

What is a better, a new Made in Japan riffle, or a used Made in Belguin riffle?? I am wanting to buy one , but not sure if there is a major difference between the both.
@dj3114
@dj3114 Жыл бұрын
Having both, I can say they are equal in quality. The Miruku is easier to adjust the bbl when it gets loose, but there is also something about shooting the same style gun made in 1961.

I have one that has a ground hogs on one side and squirrels on the other side with a gold trigger. How much would it be worth? I can’t find anything on it.

Sounds like an older Belgian-made Browning, which command a premium over Miroku guns like mine.

I bought a new Browning SA22 last year and the barrel would never stay solidly locked up to the receiver despite a ton of tinkering with the adjustment ring. Lovely gun, but that appears to be a major issue with current made guns.
@Jeff-mv4yy
@Jeff-mv4yy 2 жыл бұрын
Same here. I replaced all the internal locking pieces and springs and it did the same thing. I finally put aome blue loctite e between the adjusting ring and the lock down anvil. It has not come loose since... going on 7 years since I did it. The riflle will still take down, but that locking ring isnt gonna move unless I apply heat.
@jamesrehak1312
@jamesrehak1312 5 ай бұрын
That ring is not how you tighten the barrel. There is a coin slot on the butt to tighten the barrel to the receiver.
@Mr.Spectaculous

@@jamesrehak1312 The ring is the only means to tighten the barrel up to the receiver.

The Belguim guns did not have an optics rail on the receiver. They were drilled and tapped on the receiver. The Miruko guns are drilled and tapped on the barrel so the scope stays attached to the barrel when disassembled. This gun IMO is just too sweet as it is to throw a scope on it.
@dj3114
@dj3114 Жыл бұрын
Then it depended on the year. My Belgium has the groove on the receiver. Mine is a 1961. Also have the Miruko which I prefer when it comes to bbl adjustment because they "click" and don't have to remove the forearm. It' more of a process with the Belgium but still doable. Both are equal in quality.
