Remember fishing Union Carbide discharge mid January 1965. Giant Trout and Snook under the lights. Very finicky, then they would turn on and lookout.

Hey Blair, what rod length/action/power do you recommend for fishing reds and trout in Louisiana? looking into purchasing one of the new M2s. oh and size of spinning reel also?

I like the 7'6". If you hook into a monster, you are well equipped. anything smaller and it may take a while to get a big girl to the boat.

Texas' current state record is 57.2 lbs caught in 1937 on the Gulf beach off Padre Island.
@nickleback36955 жыл бұрын
That record is considered by many to be complete bs, including the igfa, which is why it isn't a world record and hardly mentioned by anyone other than prideful texans. Look in to the supposed catch a bit and you'll see why many, inculding myself, are skeptical.

@@nickleback3695 Probably so... as everything including Bull Shit comes out of Texas ... A few things I found on line: The largest Snooks IGFA Records Common Snook, C. undecimalis The IGFA world record is 24.32 kg (53 lb 10 oz) caught in Parismina Ranch, Costa Rica, by Rafael Montalvo. Then On March 6, 2014 Ward Michaels in Puerto Quepos, Costa Rica The IGFA Black Snook Record... officials put the official weight at 59 pounds, 8 ounces, the length at 47.6 inches and the girth at 31.3 inches, making it the heaviest of all snook species recognized by the IGFA. The catch broke the previous IGFA all-tackle Pacific record of 57 pounds, 12 ounces taken in Costa Rica in 1991.
