Blair, I was fortunate enough to fish the Everglades with a guide out of Islamorada and caught a few small Snook... But you two make it look easy. I envy you and your hard work to get Addictive Fishing where it is today.

Hey, do you ever eat that snook? Best tasting most versatile fish for cooking any kind of recipe and it has the texture of lobster tail aka bugs. Lived in the South Fl for many years and blew this fish off for eaten because I figured game fish, bone, lady, tarpon, etc. blech for eating. Boy was I wrong.

Haven't eaten one in many years since the 2010 freeze.

Capt. Blair, why do the new rods come WITHOUT a hook keeper?
@addictivefishing5 жыл бұрын
Everywhere we tried to put it. The line would get caught on it when you cast so I use the guide stansion.
@bawdhed75 жыл бұрын
I never use mine. Always put it in the guide, never had a problem.

The hurricane messed it up big time. It’s not the same anymore at least for fishing. Still beautiful and I value every minute I spend there.

釣りYT/Angler Katsuya. WHAT? The Everglades will continue to rebound from storms. It may not look the same but the fishing is awesome!
@MrMalicious55 жыл бұрын
Addictive Fishing Nearly all my spots that reliably produced keepers for 20+ years were diminished after the hurricane. Lucky to even catch babies. I still haven’t even seen a single redfish in the couple dozen times I’ve gone since the hurricane too. There’s plenty of smaller snook and snappers, which I guess is a good sign.

One of my goals is to fish the Everglades. Not to get attacked by no seeums though. 😑

MrMalicious just bc ur spots got messed up doesn’t mean fish aren’t there, they have just moved 🤦🏼♂️

Why the different treatment for the sailcat? Are they more dangerous than a normal catfish?
@cadenseegers5 жыл бұрын
They have some nasty spines. If you get poked by one, it's almost a guaranteed infection because they have so much bacteria on them
