When I began playing D&D in the 80s, heavy metal music was the rage here in Ontario, including legendary British rock band Iron Maiden. The whole Piece of Mind album is made for fantasy role play ( Still Life, Sun and Steel, Flight of Icarus, Revelations, the Trooper, where Eagles Dare, To Tame a Land ). For me, their music invokes all the violence, drama, and heroism that a good D&D campaign needs to deliver. Up the irons!

Only picked up the occasional copy of Dragon back in the day was more of a fan of White Dwarf but might peruse some going forward if looking for ideas. Dog barking in background out take made me chuckle could feel your frustration!

Yeah, I've always heard that Tom Wham's name is pronounced like it rhymes... but people say, "wham" (like the band) all the time and he is apparently just too polite to correct people. lol

When I showed up for our Friday D&D game last week one of my younger players had 3-D printed a custom miniature for his character, fully personalized with his cloak, helmet, axe, and even his signature tankard of ale! Very impressive but I hope he didn’t spend too much making it. Maybe I am an old grognard but even when we use miniatures, I am fine with generic representations and using theatre of the mind. This same player has recommended I get more variety of monster miniatures and paint them all - hard NO, sorry not sorry.
