Was going to buy this from amazon for 500 euros then decided to do a bit of research, found this video, followed your referral link to the official site, used the code after registering as a new customer which gave me more dicsounts, ended up paying 380 euros instead of 514. thanks man. also great video batman!!

Had a Voxelab Aquilla and used Cura to slice to SD. I bought this specifically for its WiFi ability and i havent found how to do it yet. Printer is pn wifi, Im still getting used to Creality program and learning where everything is. Cant seem to find how to set up wifi printer connection. I havent found a how to video either. 😭

There are two ways to do that. The first is to check what IP address the printer is using (Settings -> Network) then visit that IP address with a web browser. From there you can upload files to the printer via a standard web interface. The other option is via Creality Print. In the main "Devices" tab you can select "Scan add' to search for and add any printers on your network. Then you just use the "LAN printing" button after slicing to send the file directly to the printer.

Thanks for a nice video. Im looking into printing for some cosplay stuff. Does the printer have any required ambient room temp? Was thinking of having it in my garage for temps in there can sink down to like 5 degree celsius.

Great video! Do you think there reasons are beyond cost why Creality continues to release new bed slinger printers instead of moving entirely to Core XY? The build volume and the price of this printer are pretty appealing, but the disadvantages of Core XZ seem pretty apparent based on your review.

Creality's flagship K1 series are all CoreXY, but they are more expensive than the Ender range.
@jack68k2 ай бұрын
@@BranchusCreations I saw that the forthcoming K2 is 350x350x350mm which would be a huge upgrade from my current 256x256x256mm volume limit.

Question: This looks like it's a direct drive printer. If so, what's the purpose of a bowden tube? If the filament spool were mounted from the top could the bowden tube be eliminated?
@BranchusCreationsАй бұрын
My guess is they are trying to reduce the weight on the frame to minimise vibrations, but other than that, there's no reason why the filament couldn't be mounted on the top and the Bowden tube eliminated.
@BlondieHappyGuy21 күн бұрын
@@BranchusCreations I can answer this one. LOL The PTFE tube, the way they designed it, is to guide the filament to the extruder as well as provide a bit more stability. However, this spool on the side is a HORRIBLE DESIGN FLAW!!! You can NOT trust a print job to succeed because almost always, the filament jumps off the spool and gets tangled either beside (outside) of the filament and even gets caught under/around the motor on that side and the danged cable connector! Been there, done that. So I did end up putting it on the top rail for now. I have a spool stand that I'm going to put on the table instead, so as to remove any source of vibration that the spool attached to the rail could cause. I did have to make an extension cable wire for the runout sensor as I also moved that to the top rail. There are mounts/holders available to print out. With it on the top now, the tangle issue is resolved. Also, TPU just works nicely, because now there's no resistance when the extruder is pulling it. With the spool on the side and running through the long PTFE tube, it can cause so much resistance that the TPU filament can literally stretch. Of course, that means that by the time it enters the extruder, it's no longer 1.75mm! It's thinner! For clarity, it's really easy to mount on top. *BUT A WARNING* to anyone about to print out the top spool holder. If you do, when you mount it, secure it down using those nylon ties. Use 2 or 3 to make sure it's stable. I didn't do that at first and the weight of a new spool made is slide off. The spool came crashing down onto the bed!!! Fortunately, I got lucky and it didn't bend anything. But it could. With my old printer, a spool fell over and onto the bed and smashed the glass. That's another reason that I'm putting the spool stand on the table instead. Hope that helps.

@@BlondieHappyGuy I have created this anti-tangle device for the side-mounted spool, and so far it's working very well: www.thingiverse.com/thing:6811687

Do you still use this printer? If so, how do you enjoy this printer
@BlondieHappyGuy21 күн бұрын
I got 2 of them back in Sept. I can say this, these are the BEST printers I've ever or seen! I was thinking about one of the ones with those AMS units (4 colors) but all of them had too small of a build area. This has 300x300x330! I keep one up in my Lab, replacing the old one and the 2nd one, I keep in the dining room where I can see it from the sofa. LOL I can say this, I LOVE this Ender 3 V3 Plus! It just works. Tonight, I ran a test on both because I wanted to see how well it could print edge-to-edge (300x300). So I just made a 300x300x0.5 square and let that print. The print was perfect. Zero issues. I can never say that about the old printer.

Question: I use Octoprint on all of my printers but because the V3 Plus doesn't use Marlin it won't be possible. I'm not opposed to that. However, one ESSENTIAL feature of Octoprint is that if I'm printing a lot of parts and one of the parts fails by not sticking to the bed I can have Octoprint ignore that part for the rest of the job. Is that possible in the software on this printer?
@BranchusCreationsАй бұрын
Yes, I believe the built-in firmware does have this feature. The web interface shows all objects printing and you can selectively cancel any of them.
@BlondieHappyGuy21 күн бұрын
@@BranchusCreations I've not seen that and I have the Nebula cameras for my 2 printers. How would one do what you mention? I'd be interested in trying that feature out. I do use Creality Print, however. I hope that you mean this can be done in CP 5 (current version).

what are the benefits of this printer over Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus?
@BlondieHappyGuy21 күн бұрын
The Neptune still uses lead screws and roller wheels. From experience, lead screws can get wobbly after a while. Also roller wheels wear out and trying to find really good ones is not easy. (meaning, new ones that also don't wobble or bind up). The frame is also pieces put together, where the Ender 3 V3 Plus's gantry frame is one solid aluminum piece. Very stable. I have 2 V3 plus printers and I just love them. Also, great support and lots of community knowledge and support. I am not sure about Elegoo. ???

Question: The space where I would put this printer isn't wide enough to include the filament spool. Can it be mounted to the top? Is there a STL file to help with that?

I've seen photos of the Ender-3 V3 Plus in this configuration, so I'm sure it can be done.

There is a set of printable modifications on Thingiverse. Just query the Ender-3 V3 Plus and you’ll find them.
@BlondieHappyGuy21 күн бұрын
@@bradkleinsasser1367 Besides that, on the USB key that comes with the V3 Plus, there are the parts to print out a spool holder on the top. But if anyone prints these out, I HIGHLY suggest securing it down with 2-3 nylon ties so that it can't just fall off, hit the bed and cause damage.
