The fact that our music was the MOST popular music in all the main stream media from 81-91 was great and everything, But when that time had passed we barely lost any actual popularity. When real music fans dont get offered real music on radio, they go find it, buy it, go to concerts and support it. I think this might be my favorite song by Bruce Dickinson *or* Iron Maiden, and the lyrics are the main reason why (on top of how great the music is). The first part of the song is obviously talking about the apocalypse (and the four horsemen). It keeps mentioning the "wheel of Dharma." Dharma is what Buddhists call all the collective lessons of Buddha, which basically amounted to "don't be a dick." All the nasty things people do to each other... murder, war, torture, rape, theft... just refrain from that stuff. That's mostly what Buddha had to say. So this song claims that the wheel of Dharma is running out of time, and we have to keep moving it. I think what he means is that by treating each other well and being decent people, we can hold off the apocalypse because a happy, healthy society will be more able to deal with large-scale problems as they come. That's what I think anyway. I haven't bought Accident of Birth yet so I don't know if Bruce gave an explanation in the album.

I wouldn't call it a masterpiece but it's certainly a great song, like a couple of others on Accident Of Birth - Man Of Sorrows and Arc Of Space, for instance. Omega too. I agree : I do appreciate very much the balance between softer moments and heavier sections. It's what makes a great piece of music interesting quite often.

+IRONMAIDENFANATIC89 Chemical Wedding is my personal fave followed by Accident of Birth. I love the Skunkworks album..but, if it was just a tiny bit "heavier" sounding, it'd be my fave. Tattooed Millionaire even has a few really good songs on it.
