The more I learn about Bruce, the more I’m just fascinated by the way he lived his life. He accomplished so much in such a very short time that most people can’t even comprehend to achieve in an entire lifetime. I’m definitely a follower of his philosophy.
@bodystarksfit_testfitness8192 жыл бұрын
he was already accomplished because his father was an actor and he got roles as a young kid he was silver spooned even his trainer ip man was friends with his father and so he trained bruce better than his other students plus bruce lee lived on the west coast in the us. it's easier to make it when opportunities are right at your doorstep.
@mk11xgameplays442 жыл бұрын
@@bodystarksfit_testfitness819 How would you know for a fact that IP man trained Bruce Lee better than his other students? Did you watch and compare how differently Bruce was taught than others? Were you there physically watching or something? I’m sure IP Man was friends with everyone that he taught and not just Bruce’s father. What do you mean by saying that Bruce was already accomplished because his father was an actor? What does Bruce’s father being an actor have to do with anything that Bruce did? You make no sense! Everyone makes their own choices in life and most people have similar opportunities and you’d be surprised at just how many people don’t do anything with their opportunities. Opportunities don’t make you successful at what you do but the choices that you make with those opportunities do!
10:20 Bruce Lee on fame: “People tend to be blinded by it. If things are repeated too many times, we start to believe it and it becomes a habit” Simple, elegant wisdom.

@Zeek Banistor No Zeek, you simply did not grasp the totality of what Bruce meant by that. As a very young man, the understanding, analytical intelligence, along with self-awareness structuring "All knowledge means self-knowledge" is very profound and deep. Therefore, to say you know something, to really know yourself you know it, deep within, is knowing that you sought, practiced and applied the knowledge. That's what amazed him. And is no small observation. Deep minds shaped the century. Bruce was one of them.

He is totally right when he talks about the inflexibility of "style". Martial arts have stoped being art with the approach of technique over fluidity. Such techniques could never have come about if there was no fluidity and experimentation. A true modern case of this is Eddie Bravo in BJJ breaking the traditional, experimenting and creating his own "style". This of course made some people who are too rigid (some of the Gracie family) to view him of a heretic to the "art" but the results he had in competition speak for itself.

"All knowledge is self knowledge." Interesting. When I studied Tae Kwon Do under Master Sun, I came to the conclusion that the kup awarded during testing was a measure of how well you understood yourself, not the karate, and that masters were masters because they had mastered themselves.

I never looked at it like that man you're right that's true. it's also kind of like saying to me at least that only Bruce Lee could defeat Bruce Lee no one else can but himself thank you for the insight and I appreciate it
