Incidentally... Johnny von Neumann's "Hot Rod" Ferrari started life as a four cylinder, but Neumann later ordered a new V-12 engine and had none other than Richie Ginther do the engine swap. The air intake on the bonnet was added to clear the velocity stacks. And that's why they call it the Hot Rod...it really is one!

Just love the cars in Bruce's collection. Without knowing it was Bruce's, I took a pic of the 356 A when it was on display @ the Perterson. Like Bruce, I was born with the car DNA, I just don't have the liquid funds for that type of collection.
