Listening to it right now & feeling “those” SHIVERS…..I believe it’s the lyrics that vibrate along w/the organ humming such deep toned keys & the backup singers also humming along & then that high toned female backup singer intermittently placing those lil “wails” there resonating in the background, ever so perfectly -hells yeah- definitely sends shivers!!

Wolf Williams Well said. One of the few that is powerful and absolutely perfect for the film - worthy to stand in the same category as, "Over the Rainbow," sung by Judy Garland in 'The Wizard of Oz' (1939), which only a handful do.

John Hocking You could not be more right about that. Garland, a national treasure, a terrific performance.

+John Hocking I'd put "Moon River" from "Breakfast at Tiffany's" in the same class of absolute no-brainers.
@CPSJSMSUUMUGA9 жыл бұрын
+SwitcherooU Absolutely agreed! And how about, "When You Wish Upon a Star," from Pinocchio (1940). In 1964 it almost had to be whatever was nominated from, "Mary Poppins," which happened to be, "Chim, Chim Cheree." Those songs are so great you could almost throw a dart. However, my (and Walt Disney's) favorite was, "Feed the Birds." I also love, "Let's Go Fly a Kite." It makes me tear-up because it creates one the happiest film finale's in the history of the genre.

Thank you for sharing about your life experience. If you haven't already, you should read Bruce's autobiography "Born to Run". Toda vez que ouco essa musica, eu choro... Choro pela ignorancia das pessoas, da falta de amor no coracao pelo proximo, e pela intolerancia... Esse filme me tocou muito, muito. Maior interpretacao do Tom Hanks in toda sua carreira. Bruce escreveu essa musica com o maior amor e comprometimento com seu pensamento de dizer o que sente sobre o regime de opressao, medo e discriminacao que o mundo vive. Essa musica ainda e bem presente em significado e poesia... Simplesmente lindo.
