Bruce is like Yoda. Anything you read by him, you always read it in his voice. Thanks for sharing this with us.

That is very great to preserve all the Bruce Lee's books collection. Even now, I still so imprest about the amazing influence he continues to bring to so many people ! I thought I was the last generation but not at all !!! Which is great I think. I d'like to humbly thank Mrs Lee Cadwell and Shanon too to preserv and share so much year after year.

Thank you so much for sharing about your father with us. This world truly lost a legend and more importantly a humanitarian. I only wish I could have met him.
@Primevals3313 жыл бұрын
One of the greatest joys of my life is was experiencing the impact your father made in the film world between 1971- 1974 when I was 8 to 11 years of age. Those memories have never faded away, nor the impact Bruce has had on other generation now and beyond. I have met you a few times over the last 18 years Shannon, and you are a beautiful person inside and out. I am sure your Dad would be very proud of you.....

I’d want to read his personal notes. Those are more revealing to the thought process than the books he read.

wow! his writing is flawless, reflection of a flawless character.

Thanks alot Shannon. This is incredible. The ripples your father left in this world still continue to be felt by all, even those who were unborn during his life. He is still such a hero and leader for anyone who wishes to make their existence on earth purposefully extraordinary, and he will never fade away from the collective human psyche. You must be proud that he's your dad. :)

Wow... I know this would be emotional for all of us... and to be so close to notes he'd taken in those books... oh my gosh.

WOW! another of the reasons why I admire your father so much is for that never ending quest for knowledge that he lived, and not only on his field but on all aspects of life! And it's always nice to read or hear some of his distilled experience on his quotes, thanks so much Shannon! (and I hope the project for the museum can become a reality ;D)

This is so cool. Thank you for sharing this. Bruce Lee is always a man that gets looked at for his martial arts skill, but it is very rare for us to see the many depths of Bruce Lee, and how he has moulded his mind.

Is there a collected list of books he had?
@muziktrkr5 жыл бұрын
I'm surprised he had the time to read (apart from when he was bedridden) considering how busy he was! It would be really cool if the books were scanned and if there are issues getting a museum together, maybe the solution is - "there's an app for it" - so people can subscribe, and people worldwide could read his annotations, journals, notes, etc.

It’s impossible to know how the hell processed all that in such a, tragic short lifetime. His sources are impossible to know at this point. Hundreds of books on martial arts and physical conditioning alone. No stone unturned. It’s like the Doctrine Of Exhaustion Of Remedies In Law Theory, but applied to martial art. Lee would still be closing JKD schools today. Rest In Peace

I don't think they should be available to the public. Maybe they could be scanned and put on the Internet. Or maybe get other copies of the books and rewrite Bruce's annotations in them.
