I am a 60-year-old lady and you would never know that I studied Goju and Shotokan martial arts in my youth, but I did. I have always been a martial arts fan, esp. the incredible kung fu movies of the 70's, and Bruce Lee fascinates me to no end. His discipline, speed, control, power and form were so futuristic. But the thing that amazes me the most is his ability to anticipate and act upon his opponent's moves the moment his opponent is in motion. He was so tuned in to the metaphysical mysteries of the human physiology. I would not be surprised to learn that he had meditated himself into a state of hyperawareness such that he could perceive and read the flow of energy around an opponent's body. There are many hidden things that you can perceive about someone once you reach this level of awareness; I know, because I was born with it, and it has served me well over the years, allowing me to perceive and remove myself from a dangerous situation unscathed before it could unfold. Whenever I watch slow motion of Bruce Lee in action, When he begins his technique the moment his opponent begins moving, and sometimes even before, I can see that he not only had a mastery of this concept, he put it to good use in thousands of hours of training to develop and memorize a lightning fast response that he had envisioned ahead of time, imagining every possible response and following it through to every possible outcome, to every possible future fighting scenario. I have watched videos of his demonstrations over and over, slowing them down sometimes to the point where I could view the action frame-by-frame, and I could clearly see that, as he approaches his opponent, his gaze quickly flies over that person in their entirety as he greets them and makes physical contact during that greeting in the form of fist bumps, handshake, etc. He is surreptitiously reading and gauging the flow of energy around that person's body, seeing where that person's strengths and weaknesses are in the areas of flow or blockage of that energy around that person's body. He then proceeds to carry out his plan of battle as if he is one with this person in perfect unison. In these senses, he had already fought and won the fight many times in many different ways before he even entered into it. The modern day equivalent of an ascended master, as was IP Man. How do I know he is doing this? I can perceive the flow of energy around his body, even on film that is many decades old; it emanates far and wide from him and eclipses that of everyone else in the room; but as he approaches his opponent, it suddenly ebbs and flows back into him, and I Know that he is dimming his own energy, suppressing and pulling it back into him, creating a flow of that person's energy outwards toward him so he can see and read it more clearly. I have done that Many Times, and I know it when I see it. I laughed out loud in sheer delight the first time I watched the video of his demonstration in Long Beach with the blindfold on; especially watching The Master pull his opponents toward him without laying a hand on them, WOW!!! He was way more incredible than many people realize!

THIS SAYS IT ALL! Lee Jun-fan, commonly known as Bruce Lee, was a Hong Kong American actor, director, martial artist, martial arts instructor and philosopher. He was the founder of Jeet Kune Do, a hybrid martial arts philosophy drawing from different combat disciplines that is often credited with paving the way for modern mixed martial arts. Lee is considered by commentators, critics, media, and other martial artists to be the most influential martial artist of all time and a pop culture icon of the 20th century, who bridged the gap between East and West. He is credited with helping to change the way Asians were presented in American films. THANK YOU! SIJO BRUCE LEE

The fact that so many masters, famous personalities, and just common people wanted to study under him says worlds of Bruce Lee. Bruce, I read, had a collection of over 2000 books on all kinds of forms of combat. Until proven otherwise, he is the greatest modern fighter known to date. Every single video I have seen of him proves his great ability and passion for the sport. It is so tragic he left us so young. He has inspired so many, me included. His memory will live on for many many years to come.

it's called charisma,he was an actor you know, but doesn't prove shit about his fighting ability. yes his videos and movies reveal he had smooth movements ( he did win a cha-cha contest in hong kong) still doesn't prove anything. muhammad Ali was better because he fought the best of his contemporaries. truth is bruce lee wanted to be known as a great martial arts master, can't chance that by really fighting anyone good. fighting, not sparring, fighting. you notice one thing all these guys he supposedly fought were in the early days after his movies started giving him some fame it was all demos.

@@omemtasin6421 No, Bruce might have been a fighter. But all we have is hearsay. Muhammed Ali actually fought on video, he trained for and participated in public competitions. That's a completely different thing than anecdotes.

But if you hear of accounts, from people who knew him, most of them say he was fenomenal in his fighting skills, that includes other martial arts masters and students of his, and there are videos of that. In many of his movies the directors would have to stop filming because someone would dare him to a fight and he would do it, kick their ass and continue shooting. Just his strength alone was amazing, and there are videos of that. I am not saying he was invincible, but like him there were none. And for the no videos of his ¨real fights¨, it might just be a coincidence or there might just be some out there. Not all things have answers.

The one thing that Bruce Lee had that "no one" will ever achieve is his ability to mix his passion with his grace (meaning putting their heart into their abilities). There are only a few in this lifetime that come and leave an impression and awe and become legends. One's like Elvis Presley(music), Michael Jackson(music), Mother Teresa(compassion and care), Dimebag Darrell (PANTERA guitar player and extraordinaire influencer in the guitar world) and some others who take their passions to their lifetime limits and inspire us all in whatever fields we set our hearts to. Bruce Lee really was a "phenomema" in the Martial Arts world.

Dogy Don what’s your proof he was a real fighter. Bring solid evidence to suggest so. Word of mouth by the people within his circle is not accountable nor reliable nor is it solid evidence. You believe as you said Bruce is a real fighter, how do you know? Have you seen him fight? Were you there when it happened? Do you have any recordings to provide your claim? Or did someone tell you over and over and over again? Movies are not real fights, demonstrations is not real fighting. Friendly sparring is not a real fight, especially when you are all padded up with helmets and body armour. I’m talking a fight where to people try to knock each other out like in boxing, or Muay Thai or full contact karate or mma. Bring forth your evidence. Or are you one of those Bruce lee cultists with no solid evidence just a false sense of faith because someone told you?
@chapel88184 жыл бұрын
Lol Urn. In a time before selfies and phone recordings There were plenty of “real” fighters out there who weren’t interested in tournament fighting and didn’t walk around with a video camera to prove their worth. The fact he had numerous legitimate fighters go out of their way to train with him says plenty in its own merit. You don’t train under someone who has nothing to offer. On top of that his skill, agility and power are pretty obvious to any one cares to watch the man. But it’s easy for a bunch of people, especially a bunch of people who no one has ever heard of, to walk in the ghost of a legend when he’s not around to defend himself. Typical in this day and age
@URN-A554 жыл бұрын
Chapel ok in another words you got nothing to bring forth on the table, ok gotcha. Here’s where your logic fails, well Bruce lee lives in front of a camera, he was constantly been recorded doing tournament demos and appearances where he shows what he he all about, also he was practically advertising himself and kung fu. Here’s where it gets questioned, he can show demos but not show a real fight, how convenient. Btw most of those so called people you say that did not need camera or recordings to show or prove what they were worth are mostly frauds simply there was no proof so very easily to convince people about what they want people to believe and they were looked at as a legitimate martial artist or fighters. To name a few ashida Kim self proclaim ninja master, how he fooled the world. George Dillman, a man who claims he can knock you out without even touching you. He is also a associate of Bruce lee, but later on was named a fraud when he was brought to light in national tv. Ever seen the van dam movie bloodsport? That was supposedly a true story account of another martial art fighter frank dux who is also a fucking fraud. I can go on and on about this people, what do that all have in common you asked? Just like Bruce lee all their reputation of being who they claim to be are all word of mouth coming from their very own circle of associates and friends without no proof what so ever, this people just to name a few also had lots of students who flocked from everywhere to learn their art, sound familiar? This individuals were considered in the olden days were looked at as gods of martial arts, their faces were in from of martial art magazines and glorified, until they got all exposed ofcourse. The deference between Bruce lee and the rest is that Bruce died to early to be able to really test him in our era. So the legends continues however, martial experts now and fighters look into Bruce Lee’s claim and my friend the stories are inconsistent and his demonstrations are debunked. His ground work studied by real jujitsu fighters says its not even close. His wing Chun is know to be useless in a real fight evidence in youtube and online is everywhere when tested, look it up. Yet Bruce lee use wing Chun but somehow when he uses it he is this unbeatable guy?? Really? So I have solid evidence just search it up, no Bruce lee fanboy cultists have any solid evidence to prove their claim, just a blind faith of false belief. Bruce lee may be in fact a real fighter but no evidence so don’t claim he is unless you got something to bring to the table besides your thoughts and feelings. Here’s my thing, if one blindly accept what is said how is one suppose to know the truth? Are we not suppose to question things we need to understand? If we didn’t murderers and rapist would be set free world wide if we just go along with their story. It’s called investigation, I rather know the facts than blindly accept and shallow what I have been told without questioning it. It’s human nature to question and understand, this way humanity can go forward and improve. Blindly accept as much as you want, but if you want to argue and prove something make sure you are well equipped with facts.

Lee Taylor means nothing buddy, there were a lot of frauds in the olden day, like George Dillman to name one and there were many. Dillman was considered very very highly until he got exposed, he too was surrounded by great fighters and well know figures who gave Dillman all the props and martial art magazines. This is this frauds claim this and claim that but not one were they ever recorded in a real fight. Yet they were highly regarded. Word of mouth means shit all. What this is, is false sense of belief. There are no proof. You are telling me bruce can demonstrate all this things in front of a camera and all of a sudden when a real fight occurs not one is ever recorded??? Really? Really?

If all these fighters complimented Bruce Lee and even became his students, itsvery obvious Bruce Lee wasnt a fake and was a great fighter. There will never be anyone like Bruce Lee again BECAUSE...... back then there wasnt no internet, games and things to distract him. Back then, he only ever constantly thought about Martial arts and ways to get better. These days, there are just too many distractions unless you live on a deserted Island and train non stop to get better. Also Bruce had the speed and footwork that not many could get (even with training) with his dancing and his innovation of new moves and his one desire to achieve his goal, he trained so hard and worked so hard, he died early because his body could not handle it.

I really wish he (and his family) lived in a better time, one more accepting of his Asian culture and upbringing. For those who think otherwise, I guess its a good thing he is isnt here to help you eat your words. Bruce is a true martial artist.

In your fantasies. There's zero evidence of him beating anyone. Just hearsay and assumptions made by people like the fool who made this video. A load of waffle, assumptions and tales. The only footage we saw was far from convincing. Funny how the style gets NOWHERE in the UFC. Funny how kung fu masters are getting challenged and flattened in minutes or even seconds in the ring. So only one man was ever truly effective at kung fu? I think not.

@@iiaestheticallyii6342 Bruce Lee was a real fighter, because trained like moden day mma fighers, he trained kick box, ju-jitsu, muay-thai, wrestling etc. I can say opposite of this for Ip man who only trained kung fu and wing chun, when Kung fu and wing chun masters gets challenged by boxers or mma fighters, they get squashed in seconds, William Cheung who was one of Ip man's students and the best representer of wing chun lost to Emin Boztepe in 27 seconds, you can find their match on KZbin, they began to fight with wing chun style then ended up doing boxing and grappling, this shows wing chun is useless in real fights, only reason Ip man got famous was being Bruce Lee's teacher

You and me both my friend. Being the gang champ, fighting on roof tops is just a lil incentive to have your poop together and he truly did. A perfectionist at heart and soul. Be water my friend. Not in your styles, hard to find when I started...but he inspired me to the max.

John Camara Perfect words. Great attitude. He too..gives me strength everytime I see or hear about him. I had a friend in Edmonton Alberta. His next door neighbor was Bruce's grandmother ! I wish I would have met and talked to her. I kick myself for not pursuing the opportunity !

I was exercising by myself in a park in northern China at night and this young Chinese man and his girlfriend strolled up. He immediately began criticizing my movements and started kicking in the air. In fact, it was some of the fastest and most beautiful kicks I had ever seen. It turns out that he had studied for 9 years at the Shaolin Temple. But, my expertise and competition background at the time was primarily in wrestling and grappling, etc. and had taken many trophies, and medals in Judo, BJJ, Shuai Jiao, Tui Shou, catch wrestling, etc. When we began to touch hands he told me in Chinese that he couldn't begin to understand the wrestling energy I was giving him because at the Shaolin Temple they didn't engage in it much. I credit all of the coaches I have had in the past, Chinese, American, Japanese, Dutch, Vietnamese, filipino, etc. , including some of my coaches who were direct descendants of Bruce Lee's coaching, but, I also caution against nationalism. Don't automatically assume you are superior to someone because of your race, and don't automatically assume they are superior to you. Learn from each other in the spirit of brotherhood. Stay humble and kind.
