I think it has more to do with AJ's old trainer Rob McCracken who brought him through from the Olympics but was also Carl's trainer his entire career. I have no idea what it is, but since that split it has been extra spicy between them. Carl is not afraid of anyone though rightly or wrongly, so much so Eddie Hearn was asked once if he had to pick 1 or 2 fighters to have next to him if a war broke out, Froch was one of them
