Don't know how you feel about it, but as far as I'm concerned Bruce's voice now isn't far off from off from what it was in the beginning of his amazing career... You gotta give it to a guy who turned out to be one of the greatest songwriters in the world, who doesn't need to be doing anything more than sitting back counting his "crates" full of cash who is still at the age of 71 putting out new music that is just as intriguing as the music he made in the beginning.. By far one of America's greatest most treasured musicians. Guys like Bruce come around once in a lifetime, maybe two lifetimes.. Like him or not, what he and the E Street band have accomplished can't be said of too many other bands in the history of American music.

This brings me back to good old times. In 1982 BS&ESB played in a awful concrete jungle venue in Broendby, Denmark. The first ½ hour was horrible. Some wham-bang tunes and some single guitar ballades. Just noise and bad sound. What a disappointment. Then a 15 minutes break - but when the band came back again all settings and levels had been balanced. 4 hours of unforgettable non-stop rocket energized concert followed. When it was all over, well after midnight, 5000 people was left outside the venue without any means of transportation home. But - nobody cared. They had all had their concert experience of a lifetime. And for this experience I hate you Bruce, cause nothing I've seen thereafter has even come close to that evening. But for that, I will also love it forever. Keep on. Just keep on ...

This is an interesting album. The first listen through I wasn’t sure what to make of it or how I felt about it. With each play through it’s definitely growing on me a lot. I’m really digging it. I’ve tried to figure out over the years what it is about Bruce’s music that’s so special to me. His gifts as a storyteller are certainly a big part of it. It’s also that voice. The way he uses it... the way he phrases his words. Take Jayne for instance. When I listen to a song like this there’s just something magical I can’t quite explain about it. It’s got all of the things I said above but it’s more than that. It’s how it makes me feel. There’s a pathos in Bruce’s voice on this one. Nostalgia and loss aren’t quite the right words but they come close to explaining Bruce’s effect on me here. There’s something about the songs on this album that make me feel a little sad. Not in a bad way but in a looking back sort of way. I could be wrong but I get the sense Bruce is looking back and coming to terms with loss. The loss of friends, band mates, loved ones. There’s a realization the racetrack is getting shorter and he’s coming to terms with that and he’s appreciating now more than ever the wonderful journey he’s been on for the past 71 years! The passing of time is something we all can relate to and that realization helps us feel more deeply connected to these songs. Like so many of his fans, I sure hope he’s got a lot more magic up his sleeve for a lot of years to come. Keep it coming Bruce. Thank you for all you’ve given us over the years. The world still needs you my friend now more than ever. ❤️

¡Ojalá pronto volvamos a estar juntos!

This album has such a compressed and over saturated sound - but it kicks. You can’t really hear all the instruments but the overall is very satisfying. And the tunes are his best IMO !!!

Absolutely brilliant, just like the early Bruce. A touch of Dylan, Neil Young sprinkled here and there in the encore

What a talent. Raised three down to earth kids not the type you would expect from a mega star 🌟.
