I lost my husband 11 months ago. It has been a difficult year for me and my sons as we navigate life without him. I got to see Bruce on Broadway just a few days ago and the theme of the show was people and places that he has lost along the way but how they still live on within him. The show closed with this beautiful song which moved me (and many others) to tears. This show and this song were another step in the ongoing healing process, so I thank you Bruce for sharing.

@fkthedemlibscum70262 жыл бұрын
It's good you bonded at least over something.... Just too bad it was over that Dem/Lib Bruce guy... I personally despise that Bruce thing, especially because he's a D/L, and also, Bruce claims to be "FOR THE WORKING MAN, yet he charges outrageous prices up to a couple thousand for his concerts (that's what the media said), but your reasons for bonding with your dad don't have to line up with others.... What matter is, despite anything, is that you bonded with your dad.... Not sure what he did wrong, and that's surely private, so no worries..... My dad died in 1990 @ only 49 years old because he was a heavy smoker & major drinker, so he did it to himself.=== He & I never bonded with zero relationship, but I'm good because I have a wonderful mother and fine brothers & sisters, and everyone else in my family is great.

We played it in the crematorium as the curtains closed at my brothers funeral, I cried my eyes out, we both love Bruce, I hope to go and see him in Dublin next year, if I'm lucky enough to get a ticket.

I'm watching this Livestream also. I actually watched this thinking how fitting it would be here, then all of a sudden, there he is at the service performing it. A real credit I think for him to be there right now.

Oh Bruce this moves me so much. When my mom first died I just got through the days waiting to go to bed so that I could do just that. You are as popular as you are because you touch what is real in people and you articulate it for them. You are a treasure.

My husband and I have been going to Bruce’s concerts since the 70s. We recently lost our son and we do not know how to get through each day. On our way to his funeral I’ll see you in my dreams came on and I just lost it. I play that song about 10 times each day to try to make sense of why things have turned out the way they have. There are no answers. We are so looking forward to Bruce touring in 2023 and hopefully offering some sort of healing for us.

To my beloved brother, Robert, who left us far too soon. I miss you terribly even 13 years later. Death is NOT the end. I'll see you in my dreams. Thank you to Bruce and The E-Street Band. Robert would have loved this beautiful song. He had tickets to one of your concerts in his possession when he died in 2008, as he was a huge fan, but he did not live long enough to attend. We shared so many Bruce concerts together, and I was a tiny bit sad because he was supposed to go to this one without me. Now, I only wish that he could have gone...

Saw Bruce play this at Murrayfield, Scotland 30th May 2023. Hits home as we are all getting older and life seems to be speeding up year on year. Add to the mix the loved one's that have passed on over the years and you realise that our time here on earth is only fleeting and ebbing away. Try to savour the good moments and I hope you have plenty to look back on. May the good outweigh the regret! Thanks Bruce, you have been essential company for this journey ❤

In 1987 I attended a function where we were talking about our musical preferences. I said I loved the music of Bruce Springsteen (I was 39 years of age). I was told he was a nothing and wouldn't last. Well here I am 75 years of age and still love his music. This album shows how the years speed by and yet....

This song hit me square in the heart! I look at the grey hairs and wrinkled skin in the mirror and recall the Family, Friends, and Lovers that I have outlived. Some, I held their hand as they took their last breath. Think about that as you go through your days as to not take these people in your life for granted.
