They were custom built high end trucks back in the day. I had the pleasure of working on them in the 70's at a Diamond Reo dealer who took them on.

Marmons were custom made trucks made in Dallas Texas. They just never got enough market share to survive because of price. They were a great truck to have and drive. Came with just about everything you needed or wanted.

When remade, trucks like this one are for sure rare & expensive, as Cabovers are not made anymore in the US. Unlike Germany: I guess more than 90 % over here Cabovers: M.A.N., Mercedes, Volvo, Scania, DAF: all Cabovers!

The thing with the Detroit's is you got to pop the valve covers and check the fuel rail if it won't move then there are injectors stuck so you gotta find them and unstuck them because if you don't you will have a run away and having a runaway Detroit is no fun because they are loud AF and everyone will hear it go off.

My grandma had and same shaped semi truck like that it wasn't start from i was born and I'm 17 yr now. And we just put batteries change the filter and oil then add gas and it start with first try with primer. Trucks can't dissolve unless the engine got stuck and that's hard

If a Detroit stalls and will not start The shaft that turns the blower is stripped out on one end Pull the cover off the back The shaft that runs the transfer pump strips out also easy fix
