Another informative video. I use velcro quite often now to fix the rx and ESC in place....just another alternative to tie-raps

This model is probably better with a fixed rear axle - for traction on mud etc.

More recently I have moved to designing 3D printed hub adaptors and motors with built in gearboxes - the tractor was one of my earliest attempts to convert Bruder toys to RC. Still, this one runs very well. 😀👍

very cool again bud I recently purchased a ertl 1/16 dicast farm tractor for a conversion..I do wish bruder came with rubber tires.. Thats one and only set back but there is a world of tires out there also just got to do some thinking to make it work like you said.. 8-)

With a bit of lead in the tyres it goes a lot better. The limited space was the real challenge with this one.

I think that receiver might be obsolete now. Any small 3 channel receiver - with matching transmitter- should be ok.

Thank you. This was surprisingly satisfying to do. There are plenty of little challenges, but nothing that can't be overcome with bit of thought. It actually goes very well - for what it is - and given that it cost £25 including the green tipper trailer, I don't think you can really too go far wrong. I might try one of the 6v motors to see what difference it makes.

I am going to convert the Bruder fastrac. Just need to figure out how to make a scale mower to fit it and I will have fun cutting the grass.

That is a good model to convert. I did one with 4 wheel steering and 4 wheel drive - with a mix to allow different steering options (front / back / all / crab) using a Flysky GT5 transmitter. 😀👍

@@RCModders I will have a look into doing that, I am going to look to see where I can get that transmitter at a good price as the extra channels would help (I have seen some rigs that have servos on the front and rear to lift up the 3 point hitches) so the more channels the better. I have been messing around with my mn99s for now as delivery for stuff is a bit bad (my mn99s took 3 months to arrive)

Thank you. I think that I used the gearbox motor from the Tamiya tracked vehicle set. Standard tamiya motor worked best - but just limit the ESC to about 60% travel as the motor is low voltage (v.cheap to replace tho) here is a uk amazon affiliate link: amzn.to/2V7BD3Y 😀👍
