The spirit of the Bruderhof way of life reminds me of the Suscipe of St. Ignatius de Loyola: Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding, my entire will - all that I have and call my own. You have given it all to me. To you, Lord, I return it. Everything is yours: do with it what you will. Give me only your love and your grace. That is enough for me.

We have to serve ourselves in order to be able to serve God. Taking care of yourselves is not being selfish. Eager to view the next episode "False Prophets."

Yes, we're responsible to ourselves regarding the proper care of our bodies and the education of our minds for work, but then we must place ourselves in His service by helping and teaching others. It's hard to get started, but fulfilling and desirable once you are in His will. Read about the life of George Muller to see what I mean....

Like many extracts from scripture, we can miss the small details through over-familiarity. Note the use of the word 'find' in the quotation. This implies we must be active in our searching for the way of life, both in finding the gate and keeping to the path. The metaphor implies a journey. Every journey has a start, a route and a destination. Stagnate, and the journey stops.

Ok , so being interested in TRUTH and wise instruction, knowing , observing, learning, adhering to same, Bible and the Didache are where I began. Perhaps I could learn and grow through fellowship with more like-minded believers such as I perceive you to be. May GOD bless you as you illuminate HIS TRUTH.

I always agree with everything you say, so I've bought the book. I'm also wondering if it's possible to join your Sunday Worship online. I'm based in England maybe I should contact the Bruderhof here. 😀
