3:38 Out of season (Mai- September) the Belgian coast is a very depressing sight with most of the shops being closed.

@@admtim As I mentioned, Mai to September, usually beginning with the Easter Holidays, depends somewhat on the weather. High(est) season is July and August, the school summer holidays. The seaside resort to visit is De Haan. Atypical for a Belgian seaside resort, no high rises but instead many preserved "Belle Epoque" buildings in the town centre. Including a cute tram station.

6:05 the bathroom costs money in many European countries. In return you should get clean and safe bathrooms, even if you don't see her or him, there is an attendant responsible for both cleanliness and safety. Those people have to buy utensils and cleaning products with that money.

I don't recommend taking a taxi, they are very expensive. $50 for 15 km as mentioned in the video is about right.

We have public transport. You could take an ordinary "De Lijn" bus, line 479. A single ticket costs 2,50€.

7:09 of course the bicyclists are aggressive : those are locals trying to get to their destination and each and every day they encounter these hordes of tourists loitering where they shouldn't , such as the middle of the street.

Can you imagine the chaos with all those buses unloading their cargo in the city centre ? That's how it was years ago until the buses were banned and unfortunately the first suitable place to park is that far away from the centre.
