Yes Giovanni is the only brand I use for shampoo and conditioner. Thankfully I get it from my beauty supply store for $4.99!! I gotta try this gel now for slick back styles.

YES!!! The 50 50 balanced shampoo and conditioner are the only ones I use! I use a very diluted amount in a spray bottle as a leave in conditioner and brush through with a denman brush. Waiting on the gel to come in so I can try a wash and go with it. Though I'll most likely use little and dilute that with water as my hair is on the finer side. I love Giovanni!

I used this gel for my edges (the slickback look you were referring to.) and I was laid for dayzz. Definitely needs an oil or moisturizer with this gel because it very drying and will cause flakes if not careful
