Shantil Walace if you have low porosity hair you need to make sure you are washing (not co-washing) your hair every wash day to remove any build up so that products will be able to get into your strands. You may already be doing this, but try this in conjunction with using warm water throughout the process, and heat for your conditioner. Also get a good hair milk like oyin hair dew and apply whatever hair milk you use in the shower while your hair is soaking wet.

Hey Kimberly I have a question I'm kinda new to this natural hair thing I have low porosity hair u was wondering how do I keep hair moisturized for a couple of days? like product still sits on top of my hair even after wet it with warm water I mean I can do the lco method but my hair is still dry after like 3 days not to so am I suppose to do the lco method again or just wet it and apply curl milk leave in conditioners dry out my hair oh what do I do when my hair is dry after couple days after I do a lco method why does my hair have to be so difficult grrr 😔😔😔😤🖤

Andrea Taylor the products may not be working for you. I have low porosity hair too and certain products sit on my hair. Sometimes I have to keep rubbing the product in my hair until it disappears.( section by section) here lately I’ve been following the curly girl method and I don’t use silicones and I only use sulfate free cleansers. Since I haven’t been using silicones my hair has been very receptive to allowing the products to penetrate the hair shaft. Everyone is different. Hair journey is a trial and error. I went natural dec 29,!2017. Every wash day my bathroom looks like a chemist lab cause I’m constantly trying out different products cause my old favorites I used when i was relaxed don’t work on my natural hair. I’m type 4 across the board. Type 4 hair is the driest hair and it loves water and conditioner
