Joel is just going to have to wear a heavy knee brace and a mask for the rest of his career. Keeping their 1st rd pick this year does what for them long term? Tank and get that player and plan around Maxy and McCain or try to eek out something with Embiid and George over the next 3 years and consider that the remainder of the window? Building around one player and then signing another player when neither can stay on the court for the plan to at least play out enough was foolish.

It was a pretty half hearted effort at a rebound by a dude that was tired.......that got him hurt. Probably not the worst thing in the world for the knee, but that was tough to watch. The Pacers play hard and if you are an injury prone team, chances are it's gonna happen.

I've been a 76ers fan since the Iverson era and I don't understand why these KZbinr's just don't understand that the window to win a championship was done the year Embiid won the MVP. Something these KZbinrs aren't understanding is that Joel Embiid wasn't going to get better after that year as his body is breaking down. Look how slow and lazy he looks on the court now... The Joel Embiid era to me has been over and anyone holding out hope that Embiid is going to lead the 76ers to a championship someday is just delusional. When people were agreeing to the 76ers plan to load manage Embiid this season, I laughed because you can never win a championship that way. Never! As I have been saying and what you all are seeing, is that chemistry means everything! Embiid can't be in and out of the lineup for this "new" team to gel and compete with the teams thats core has been together for years..... Now Embiid is 30 and he's going to get slower and slower and slower and then what? They should've traded him after the MVP season and got a haul for him when his value was high and just rebuild this roster to the modern NBA however long it takes.
