I was born in 1998, and I love watching modern hockey but watching these classic games just seems more entertaining. I also love Fred Cusicks broadcasting!

I was 8 years old and wish I could say I stayed up for the whole game but I didn't. My father caught me up on all the details in the morning, Love that you pick up on how good Cusack was as a broadcaster. It's the biggest thing I take away from watching the highlights from these games, his intensity and Sanderson's commentary are a huge part of the experience. What a voice Cusick had to capture these moments!

It’s probably because the refs actually let them play and a penalty wasn’t called every few minutes for the slightest infraction like what happens in todays game

I was at this game. I took my girlfriend's brother. He never say a live game. Around 1/3 of the stadium were Bruins fans. As 3rd period started I told him that Boston made many comebacks and I was upset yet didn't count them out and told him so. You know how it ends. Hartford's stadium was one of the best I've ever been at. It was like an arena surrounded by a mall. To bad the Whalers moved.

I'm so happy this was posted. I can remember watching this game with my brother and going nuts when the Bruins tied and then went ahead. One of my all time favorite Bruin games. 1990 was the season I went from casual to diehard Bruins fan. I was 15 at the time and can pretty much remember every game of that playoff run (although I have watched the Bruins highlight tape from that season - Reach for the Stars about 50 times)

Dafoomie.... you magnificent Bastard!! I was 19 yrs old watching that game and I have searched the internet and KZbin for past 5 years looking for this game and couldn’t get the highlights anywhere. You made my Sunday one to remember as I finally got to show my kids one of my favorite B’s comeback. From a a huge B’a fan and bigger fan of Fred Cusich and radio man Bob Wilson. Thank you Thank You Thank you!! .... classic Freddie “Look at Mike Milbury .. OH WHAT A JUBILANT YOUNG MAN”

Epic me and my 7 year old brother were watching this with my dad we was playing floor hockey in front of the tv on our knees with rolled up socks just trying to score back and forth on each others nets.

Who remembers the Ground Round? They had a basket of peanuts on every table and it was customary to throw the shells on the floor

28:00 Nice job with the jinx Mr. Sanderson. Jack Edwards used that well in 2013. We used to have Bruins parties at a friend's house back in the day in high school because they were the only one's that had NESN, and we were going nuts by the end.

The Boston Globe report the next day said it was the greatest comeback in franchise history based on the importance of the game. That was likely true at the time, but I think the events of May 13, 2013 changed that.

That 6th Bruins goal, just atrocious goaltending by Sidorkiewicz. Doesn't matter if the puck changed direction, the goalie must be able to freeze it.

Boston should have started Moog but I remember when Moog came in as a 10 year old I had hope.
