However if we’re getting rid of Varane then getting rid of Maguire aswell might not be the best option but the guy belongs in a back 3 or in a low block, we’re trying to play a high line, it’s just never guna work without the required recovery pace

If the team doesnt control the ball at any point during a game what tf are you supposed to create? Ozil was the same, de bruyne with belgium is the same, james maddison is the same, odegaard with norway or 3 years ago when arsenal didnt control any game what tf did ever do 😂. Remember, the job of central midfielders are to dictate the game and set the table for number 10 to make the difference in the final third. Just like the striker. A top class no 10 ,will have progressive and dribbling ability, that way when the defence is tight and combat, a no 10 close control ability should make space for himself and others. When you don't have those skill sets, all you do is punt and shoot, most of the times. What I would give for a Prime Rui Costa or Deco in this side .
