Ugarte is immense ste, we need mentality players like him. Heart, passion, fight and a dogidness that's been hugely missing from united for some time. 👍

I feel justified after wanting him at United since he was at Lisbon, even when he wasn't doing well at PSG. He's a solid player who plays like two players on the pitch.
@DineshSharma-kf7xd2 күн бұрын
Ste, two points. 1. Someone told Dalot to drive to the line and trust his left foot. This was huge in how we stretched their defense. If we had N. Mendes I think it would transform this team 2. Ugarte is key to the overall energy and fight in this team. We need to protect him. I think Collyer and Dan Gore should be modeling their game on him so that they can get game time and we can maintain the midfield energy we need.

@@sandygilmour5444 I agree Mainoo did play well, but I think he still needs to either work on his communication with the back line or learn to pick up the midfield runners into the box. He is the one that lost Macallister for his shot that Onana made a great save on. @rtexiliration1 disagree. Scholes played in a double pivot with less defensive instinct than Kobbie. Kobbie has had 1 year in professional football and for the elite level of his attacking ability he is surprisingly decent going the other way. Nobody is talking about his quality in the middle third. His ability to keep the ball through close control is ridiculous for his age. He's more than just an attacking mid.

This comment has to be biased. No way you can watch that game and say he did well. If I had access to the match footage I would make a video and show you how many times he got ran over in the midfield. Please don't make these types of comments after the game where the result went into our favour, because I know you will chance your mind when we concede a goal from one of his mistakes. Just rewind the first half and you will see that he was always chasing his opponent rather then being next to him or in front of him. With this type of comment you are just not giving Ugarte the praise he deserves because you make it seem like it was a two man job instead of Ugarte bossing the midfield alone. The same goes for Martinez who almost made 2 crucial mistakes that allowed Liverpool to have clear cut chances. This fan base deludes its self into thinking this squad is capable of playing like this more then 5 times in a season.

Find it interesting that when you send cbs up to play as a second striker they don't get tracked or marked ie Martinez goal and Maguires chance

I thought Mainoo wasn’t great in the first half - too many misplaced passes going forward/in possession and not enough defensive solidity. He was much better in the second half though. The criticism of Deligt for the first goal seems harsh - I think most players would have gone to ground to stop the anticipated cross - was just good play by the forward.

There's a half decent team in there. A left wing back and proven striker needed.

We would need a CM to compete with Mainoo though. A DM perhaps later in case we sell Casemiro

@@Dmaj089 yeah the ones you mentioned can wait till summer though. LWB and #9 are urgent for January

How many times have we seen the ball fly just past the post this season. A small bit more accuracy and we are never having the conversations we are having! A small bit more accuracy and we are in the top 8, at least 4 more pts in the Europa, and we'd have 0 aneurysms.

Ugarte was phenomenal as well. my MOTM. Maguire in defense was solid as well.

1. Referees fixed the match against United for the umpteenth time. 2. Amorim needs to figure out quickly which players he can trust and which players he cannot trust

Ugarte sounds like the Keane type player we haven’t had in years

Bruno "he looked like he was rested but wasn't rested". He actually was rested thanks to his suspension v Newcastle and you seen a fresher more focused player because of that forced rest.
