Zirkzee and Collyer they gotta be given a lot of praise here. They were fantastic. I personally have been really critical of Zirkzee but man he is starting to prove me wrong...long may it continue

Concerned about Hojllund, don't feel he is making any progress and offered nothing last night, investment needed at number 9, Zirkzee was good last night though

Steve I’ve said am for a few weeks that we need to get another CM or two to help Mainoo and Urgate as they can’t play this high intensity in every game.

Mainoo is technically gifted no doubt about that and may end up as a very good midfielder if he get his head together but for a team as Manchester United Mainoo should be a squad player at this early stage of his career, it's unfortunate that football is leaving Casimero

Southampton should not be underestimated, they outplayed a lot of teams this season. They're bottom because they make mistakes and eventually tire. But they outplayed Liverpool, Fulham, Villa, Brighton and was a very even game against City. But they're not rubbish, if you rock up and expect to win 5-0 just because they're bottom of the league you're very niaive! We smashed Everton 4-0, but we played just as bad in that game. Football is about getting over the line, we won 3-1, be happy and move on.

I was thinking the game needed Casemiro on for Mainoo. But then Collyer came on and did an even better job than Casemiro would have done and I love it. Another academy player who looks up to first team football.

Anthony should never play for us again… Zirkzee and Eriksen both deserve credit along with Amad

Sulemon was lightning, Yoro definitely needed a better wingback ahead of him other than Amad. Mids were sloppy af, forwards incapable in front of goal. Still think United were still better despite that. Just couldn’t finish good chances and bad luck with the ref, once again. Amorim was brave with his subs. I think we’ve seen what happens when the team plays 2x a week, it’s takes it out of them to play his way. Itll take time to get used to it. The team persevered, Amad included. Few were good till they made some tactical adjustments and subs to allow him to play more forward. He’s certainly the best forward. I liked the unity, spirit and fight. Long way to go but we’re seeing something.

We need more from our fullbacks. Amad does well in the rwb spot but he's not an out and out winger, I feel like he needs more freedom and needs to be closer the opponents goal. Amorim should promote one of the youth players (Ethan Williams), to play as an attacking wingback, and keep Amad and Bruno on the 10 roles.
