LET ME FIRST PUT MY CARDS ON THE TABLE, I'M A 64 YEAR OLD BLACK MAN FROM HARLEM. AS A YOUNG KID I HAD NO CHOISE BUT TO LISTEN TO MY MOM'S AND GRAND PARENT'S MUSIC. SO I CAME OF AGE TO UNDERSTAND THE THING CALLED RADIO, WITH OLD AND NEW MUSIC AROUND 1963. AM RADIO STATIONS, ONE PLAYED ONLY BLACK MUSIC, WBLS, ONE PLAYED A MIX. WABC. MY MOM WAS ABC RADIO, I HAD NO CHOISE, IT;S HER RADIO AND I'M A KID. I GOT EVERYTHING FROM SAM COOKE AND THE BRIT, INVATION TO MOTOWN. AS I GOT OLDER THREE DOG NIGHT AND THE J5'S WERE MY GROUPS AND SINGERS WERE NEAL SADAKA AND GLADYS KNIGHT. SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY CAME FUNKADELIC AND MY WORLD CHANGED. I'M WRITING THIS TO SAY I'VE SEEN MANY TALENTS COME AND GO, I'VE SEE SOME LAST AND HAVE NO CLUE WHY. THE FRIST TIME I SAW AND HEARD BRUNO MARRS I TOLD MY 15 YR OLD DAUGHTER, THAT BOY HAS IT, SHE ROLLED HER EYES AND WALKED AWAY. THE FIRST TIME I SAW ANDERSON WAS A YEAR AND A HALF AGO AND TOLD HER THE SAME THING. THIS TIM A GOT A LITTLE MORE RESPECT. NOW THEY'ER TOGETHER WHITH THIS MONSTER. SHE WANTS TO KNOW HOW DID I KNOW THEY WOULD BE THIS GOOD. I TOLD HER THEY ARE IN A RACE TO WEAR AS LITTLE AS POSSABLE AND NOT TRYING TO SHOCK THE WORLD TO GET NOTICED. THE TALENT DID IT. THESE TWO YOUNG MEN WITH THAT BAND, THE NAME THAT Bootsy Collins BLESSED, ARE UNSTOPABLE. OH YEAH, MY DAUGHTER LISTENS TO WHAT I SA ABOUT NEW MUSIC NOW. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE FUNK Y'ALL.

OMG this. 1,000 times this. I seen him live in Vegas in 2018 for the XXIV Karot tour. IT WAS AMAZING. Ever since I've been a huge fan of Bruno. In 2018 I was sleeping on him. Only went to that concert because it was a birthday gift for my girl. I mean I had heard of him and some of his songs but I wouldn't have called myself fan. Well, he blew the damn house down and I've been a fan ever since. Boy has it all. He can SANG, dance, play all the instruments, and he's funny as hell. Ever since that night I been saying my two favorite artists had a baby that didn't nobody know about and it grew up to be Bruno Mars. My two favorite artists of course being Michael Jackson and Prince!!!🤷♂️
@bogantellectual3 жыл бұрын
@@SSJ2Phenom I was sleeping on him too. Still don't care for his early years. Catch a Grenade etc annoyed me. Started taking notice when Locked Out of Heaven came out. Was like "Okay, I'm feeling this. Not bhed." Still wouldn't have gone out of my way to catch him live. Was already a big Mark Ronson fan so I really liked 24k Magic. (Saw Ronson's 24k Magic tour but Bruno wasn't on it in my country. They had other artists singing Uptown Funk. Was still great.) But one minute into Leave The Door Open, he immediately shot up to the top of my list of live acts to see when he tours my country next. Can't wait.
@SSJ2Phenom3 жыл бұрын
@@bogantellectual It's worth it. Very few artists can sound as good live as they do in the studio. Bruno Mars sounds BETTER live. For the first song he started singing, I thought he wasn't live, but in the second verse he started adding ad-libs and runs that weren't in the studio version and did this on every song. I think he does it just to prove that he's live and can't nobody out there right now touch him as a performer.
