The first anime opening is the kind of behaviour you have in a "Dancing while everything is burning" situation, it describes a very chaotic world with a lot of suffering from the view of point of a kid. I love them both so much! The new one is definitely right up my street: serious, emotional with adorable comedy mixed into it (plus I think the 2019 designs for the characters, especially Hyakkimaru suit them a lot better) but the old one is so cute and mischievous!!! The black and white opening for the original Dororo Anime was super funny especially with how gratuitous the Japanese anime songs were back in the Osamu Tezuka era of Manga and Anime, 1:42 but the full color opening for the Dororo anime remake is bad ass and emotionally edgy.

As someone who actually listens and dissects this shit for a living, I have to say; the remake OP for this anime is one of the most beautiful, well made, and symbolic OPs I’ve ever seen (also the anime is dope in itself) It’s music and visuals go perfectly together, while both the lyrics and images are symbolic to everything about the show! Not to mention, it plays a great tribute to the original anime as well
