Hey! I'm back with one of the videos I am most proud of!
It's been a really hard adventure and also, took me a lot of time to edit!
In this episode, I'm spending the night on top of Monte Pelmo (3168m), one of the most iconic and most spectacular mountains in the Dolomites! I started to hike from the little village of Zoppè di Cadore, and I kept hiking 5 hours 1700m D+ with my 18kg backpack. It's been... REALLY HARD!
The first part of the route to the top follows the famous "Ball's Ledge" (Cengia di Ball), an exposed narrow ledge that was followed by the first man who climbed the mountain, John Ball, in 1857. It's a bit sketchy :)
But the view definitely paid off. Waking up at sunrise in such a solitary and wild place, surrounded by such incredible mountains, has been an incredible experience.

Hi Bruno. My palms are getting sweaty watching your videos... Especially with all those crumbling rocks. I've done some hiking in the Dolomites but *really* mild stuff compared to this. You do a truly amazing job of capturing these awesome mountains (probably the most unique part of the Alps, just too bad the glaciers are almost completely gone). I've now watched all of your videos and will definitely keep watching whatever you throw our way. I am so jealous that you have these mountains as your backyard. Cheers and keep up the good work.

The dolomites are the most beautiful mountain range on earth. Others may be taller, but they don’t have the edges!! I’m a new subscriber and feel sick at some of the razor sharp ledges and cliffs you climb. But the beauty is jaw dropping. I don’t understand why people queue to get up the Himalayas when they could have this beauty and solace instead.

I did the route with my father a long time ago. It was my very first summit and I remember every second of that day. The weather was awesome, the sky was very clear and dark blue. The view from the top was stunning. You made me cry remembering. Thanks.

Non esistono parole adatte per descrivere come merita questo stupefacente video. Amazing! Ma oltre all'incredibile bellezza delle riprese filmate, va sottolineato l'impegno fisico di trasportarsi un carico di 30-40 kg in spalla su un percorso impervio e impegnativo, per quasi 6 ore e 1700 m di scalata. Immagino quanto dovrà essere stata problematica la discesa con nelle gambe la fatica e lo sforzo del giorno prima. Complimenti, sei straordinario.
