With fire risk & rockfall risk, and thoughts of barn roofs and on-going renos -I'm not sure why I have trouble sleeping...But it was a super productive week with our new helpers!

Sara, an IT professional & Stephen a graphic designer and artist are world-traveling Canadians who dreamt of moving to Europe, and France in particular. In 2020 they were working from home when Stephen turned to Sara and popped the question she was longing to hear, “What would have to be true for us to buy a chateau in France?” They searched online for months viewing hundreds of properties. They narrowed their search and toured some properties when they happened upon the one that captured our hearts, Château de Saint-Germain-des-Prés. A year later they made the move to France to start their new adventure in our beautiful Château. They created “Manor and Maker” to reflect the two sides of their adventure. One, to live as chateau owners with all the ups and downs and two, to pursue their passions as makers, creating art in all its forms. They will invite others to come together, united by their passions, to share in this adventure. We invite you to join us too, as we bring our dreams to life. Welcome to Manor & Maker.

Sarah, sleep wise it could be due to your oestrogen levels dropping. My sleep was awful during those years. Now so much more is known and much better ways of safely taking oestrogen are available, patches or topical gel etc.

That’s what we have happen here in Malibu, rock face gives way and down it comes we just keep building roads in it’s way. Straw bale soaked with diesel fuel makes a good fire starter for a brush pile and yes always bring the leaf blower to the job to fan the flames. You can get it hot enough to burn green tree trunks.🔥🌳 Nice job a clear up a couple extra pairs of hands makes light work of it.

Stephen and Sarah, I think your choices of background music are lovely and particularly suited to the wonderful movement of the sun’s shadow over the chateau throughout the brush burning. The people living in the house next to the massive rock fall must be very nervous living there now for fear of the rocks behind them. What a miracle the collapse went between any dwellings. Lovely Chateau tour too. I’m just thankful I didn’t live in those times and can just enjoy the nice bits of it!😅🥰

So happy Joey and Jason were visiting from Australia. They were a tremendous help, it looked like, in the work they did. Maybe, I hope, they will continue to visit. Great labor is hard to find these days. They seemed so nice. When you both took Molly for a trip to see the early archery, I enjoyed it thoroughly, like she seemed to. She also was a help to you! Thank you for a great vlog!

Wow! That cliff rock was enormous. We had similar bus-sized boulders fall onto Interstate 40 in East Tennessee. The rains loosened the rock faces and down they came. We live in South Carolina so had to find an alternate route to Tennessee.

Really enjoy your videos I think I am attracted to your artistic and creative side. On a different subject, you are talking about your lack of sleep and I have noticed a redness of your noise- I had that too and more- from experience I would advise to look at toxicity in your body, heavy metal, chemical and microbial. Unfortunately conventional medicine do not really test/check it so I would advise to get help from alternative/ energy medicine. I find it a long and tenuous process but the results are encouraging. Take care

The grounds are looking so good now that the weeds and bushes have been cleared. Just wondering why you didn't mulch the leaves and branches for your gardens and forest, rather than burning it which isn't good for the environment? Since you have burnt it though, why not use the ash for controlling Pear and Cherry Slug - the larvae of the sawfly that attacks pears, cherries and quince trees. That is if you have those fruit trees, I heard you mention the apple tree, but not sure what other fruit trees you have. You can throw the ash over the infected trees when the wind isn't blowing. Ash sweetens the soil as well when planting crops like broad beans. Charcoal holds the nutrient to it and makes it available to the plant, it's especially good in sandy or poor soils. You can simply dig it in around existing plants or dig a trench, lay your charcoal in and backfill and then you can plant over the top.
@ManorandMaker

Thank you for all the great advice. The burn pile was mostly brambles and wood but the leaves are being mulched into the grounds. We have so much on the ground we couldn’t mulch it all.

For insomnia, there could be a few things going on. First, we’re going thru ascension cycles including within our bodies where our bodies are switching from carbon-based to crystalline-based. This can have your spirit guides wake you up during those hours. It is best to either just feel into the higher vibrating energies coming thru with your body or to breathe them in. Just intend with your mind to easily ground the higher vibrating energies into your body, all the way thru to the earth. Another thing you can do is to state out loud to yourself (even a whisper) or in your mind while focused on the issue: ‘God is. God is. God is.’ This reclaims whatever lower vibrational energies there may be to be as of God (which heals them). These are simple practices you can do whenever you need to.💖
