It may be a "successful" kickstarter, but a lot of the backers, including myself are still waiting for delivery. You are obviously one of the lucky ones.

This is why I never give any money to Kickstarter always always always read all the ppl waiting still and all the projects fail to launch or come out and they are trash. Not worth the risk ever.

My wolf hair brush set don't want to hold paint, won't keep a point, and the fishtail horribly the moment they get wet. So there's definitely a serious issue with quality control on these things.

I feel I need to get a set of wolf hair brushes from another company to properly compare since I've never touched the kind before.

@@StaticgrasscreationsSGC That's a good point. Though I've seen reviews from people who got the sable as well and are reporting issues with them. My guess is that they either misjudged how much work goes into making good brushes, or they outright lied. But they clearly made some sets that were high quality and I think sent them out to influencers to boost the kickstarter. Because every review from back when the KS campaign started in Oct & Nov of '22 were glowing. And some folks have gotten great brushes. But others have gotten seriously garbage brushes. When I opened the tube they came in, the brushes reeked of some sort of nasty glue. I also noticed that the shipping manifest I got when they sent me the tracking info said that it came from Hong Kong. Unless they shipped from Australia to Hong Kong then to the US, that's making me think that maybe they had to outsource production to a factory in China to handle the sheer volume of orders they ended up getting.

You were lucky to receive your brushes. I participated in this campaign and never received anything. Chronical Cards says I was total refunded: false. Chronical Cards blacklists all the people showing that there are problems with their brushes and who talk about the too many problems of the KS campaign (read the comments of this campaign: it's edifying! You will see many people having abandoned the project: actually no, they were ejected by Chronicle Cards) When I think that they have just relaunched a new campaign for new brushes and when I see the number of people who are going to be stolen, I'm disappointed.

Lucky is a strong word. Lucky maybe in that now I know not to buy from them again. The quality on both kinds of brushes are not good. But I also did not pay a premium on what I would expect quality Kolinsky brushes to be. I'm sorry to hear you got shafted, hopefully you'll be able to find brushes from another company that will satisfy you. I think I'll be placing an order to Rosemary & Co soon.
