Kart Mount: Use your original motor to mark out the drilling holes
ERPM Equation
ERPM=RPM×Gear Ratio
RPM=kV×Voltage
ERPM=(kV×Voltage)×Gear Ratio
Example: If a motor has a kV rating of 1000 and you apply 12 volts, the RPM would be: RPM = 1000 RPM/V × 12 V = 12000 RPM RPM=1000RPM/V×12V=12000RPM If the gear ratio is 2:1, then: ERPM = 12000 RPM × 2 = 24000 ERPM ERPM=12000RPM×2=24000ERPM

Pro tip: I had to upgrade the firmware before it let me access the field weakening. You vastly undersold how much a pain this is to install 🤣 those damn wires are so either massive or microscopic. Just finished mine up. whew...

What kind of battery did you use for this and what wold you say is the average run time

he basically saying buy whatever battery you want… you gonna want a lifepo4 and for best ride time i recommend 20 ah 40a bms for about 2 1/2 hours of ride time at 35-40 mph and if you do a bit of research with chatgpt you’ll figure it all out easy.

Question: when rolling backwards I get no throttle response at all until a complete stop, is there a way around this?

Can you elaborate a little not sure what you mean are you using a brushless set up like mine with a flipsky. I have not experienced this. might be a tune issue or maybe throttle mapping

what are the specs of the screws and hex nut to mount the motor to mount and the mount to the fork? Also what mm are the banana connectors 4mm or 4.5mm? I'm almost about to finish my build thanks to your videos

This video is such a hidden gem, thank you for sharing. I'm trying to source the motor and VESC to Australia and can only find Aliexpress and Banggood. They have different options for the motor 110kv and a 170kv. They also have options for a D shaft and a Round Shaft. Would a round shaft be better for the sprocket? Would love to have your advice on this. Keep up with the videos!
