That looks awesome with the rear steering working 👌 nice bashing 😁

Hi there. Yeah I wasn't sure if I'd like the rear steer but thought I might as well install it so I could see. Actually makes it super fun to drive and different to my other trucks. Many thanks indeed for watching 😁👍

Excellent video!! I add rear steer to anything that will accept it but always limit it to 10% throw.
@PeteWylieRC3 ай бұрын
Hiya Paul. Yeah I thought that as rear steer was all included in the kit and I had another servo I might as well try it and I'm pleased that I did. Really fun and manoeuvrable. I have just used a servo doubler cable so I can't adjust the rear steer separately other than to change the length of the rear servo horn. Seems good as it is anyway. Many thanks indeed for watching and getting your comment in first 😁👍👍

Hi there. Yeah the 4 wheel steering really makes this a fun one to drive. Also it's kind of bouncy like an old school Tamiya so it's quite hilarious. Many thanks indeed for watching and your comments. Best wishes 😁👍👍

Spooky Pete, I didn't get notified of this one! What is YT up to?!?!?! Anyway, glad I clicked on your channel and spotted this, what a blast! Looks like it passed the PW torture test! Great shots of this thing hooning about on the sand and grass. I knew you'd like this one, it's right up your street. All the best mate and happy Saturday! 😎🍻👍

Oh yes KZbin is annoying like that sometimes. Anyway thanks for checking this out. Yes this is in a similar category as the Lunchbox and Konghead but has its own unique handing and is a load of fun. I think that like the Konghead it does need the brushless to get is moving at a reasonable speed. Cheers for your great feedback as ever. I'm just editing the build video but it's taking an age as you can imagine. Happy Saturday to you too 😁🍻

This looks like it give your Lunchbox a run for it's money in performance👍😁👍 Fantastic job on the video Pete it's been a very long time since I seen any new videos but hey better late then never😁

Hey there 😁 Yes this really has the feeling of an old school Tamiya like the Lunchbox or Blackfoot and it's really good fun. Oh yes I've not had so much time to make videos but getting them done occasionally. There will be a build video for this when I get it edited. Many thanks indeed for watching and your great support as ever. Best wishes to you and yours 😁👍

Hiya Damian. Yeah originally I thought it would just make it tip over too much but then I thought I had to try it and find out. Anyway it works a treat and makes this different to my other RC's in that the other rear steer ones I have are 6wd. Cheers for watching mate. Best wishes 😁👍

Hiya Dom. Yeah I was determined to keep this one out of the sea but the dunes at the back of the beach were perfect for a crafty bash as you say 😁 Cheers for watching and your kind feedback mate. Best wishes 😁👍👍
Hi there. Yeah I think that this really needs the brushless to make it more fun as there are a lot of gears to turn. Oh yes it was fun doing slaloms around the cow pats 🤣 Many thanks indeed for your great feedback. Best wishes 😁👍

Lots of fun, Pete! I'm guessing the long wheelbase is helping prevent it'll topple over with the rear wheel steer option... Certainly looks like it handles all kinds of terrain and is fun to drive!
@PeteWylieRC3 ай бұрын
Hi there. Well I think what helps is that the tyres haven't got much sideways grip so it generally slides rather than rolls. It does roll more often on the longer grass where it can't slide. Anyway yes it is a load of fun with the rear steer. Many thanks for watching 😁

My oh my..... You certainly didn't hold back there did you Pete? I think it's safe to say she passed the durability test?!! Are you sure it's a Tamiya, and not the brand that we shall not mention in disguise? 😂 Loving that blue and white colour scheme that you went with, looks much better than box art. And let's face it, there's no way you were going to be sticking with a silver can eh fella? Nice to see someone actually utilising the rear wheel steer at last, works very well by the looks of things, and she looks pretty stable to! What a great present from Peter Smith. Well done for avoiding those new forest turds by the way 💩..... When we were younger I used to pick up the dry ones and Frisbee them at my younger sister in the Lyndhurst car park that sits opposite the fire station..... happy days! 😊 👍 👍 👍

Hey yeah well I didn't beat it up in the same way as I do with the Arrma's but I gave it a pretty decent thrashing. I do think that these need a brushless set like the Konghead because I think a silver can goes about 12mph. On 2s this goes 22mph which is enough to make it fun. Yes I thought it was worth trying the rear steer as it was available and I'm going to keep it as it's quite a hoot. Hoorah indeed for Mr Smith. Ha frisbee cow pats, you are so mean 🤣 Cheers for your great feedback. I'm just watching you doing the slalom challenge and so far Craig has nothing to worry about 🤣👍

That looks like extreme fun! Though I'm not a fan of the body style. Wonder if they'll release it with different body styles in the future. Some crazy sportscar/monstertruck hybrid would be cool.
@PeteWylieRC3 ай бұрын
Hey that's interesting what you are saying about not liking the body because that's what made me want one. It really looks like an old school Tamiya while having a more modern and reliable chassis. I expect that they will do different body styles as they did with the G6-01. Anyway yes it's great fun with the rear steering. Many thanks indeed for your feedback. Very much appreciated 😁👍
@UltraVargenRC3 ай бұрын
@@PeteWylieRC Let's hope so for more body options! The chassis got quite popular I think and the dual steering looks like fun. I myself am not that keen on those round shapes 50's style trucks. Don't really know why. But I can understand the appeal. Anyway, keep it up with the fun video's!

Why's that thing so expensive?
@PeteWylieRC3 ай бұрын
It's a good question because by the time you've added the electronics you could buy quite a serious basher. Luckily for me I was gifted the kit and I do really enjoy the build and the quirkiness of Tamiya. Many thanks for watching 😁👍
@scannaunderscore13 ай бұрын
@@PeteWylieRC is it expensive because there's a lot of new parts? Tamiya usually love recycling stuff
@PeteWylieRC3 ай бұрын
@@scannaunderscore1 Well apart from the body and chassis I think this is all parts that existed already. It's just inflation I guess. The version with the painted shell really is too expensive. Having said all that it is good fun 👍
