This blew me away. Im about an hour or so from Cleveland and the lake. My grandparents used to have a boat in Sandusky. Ive never heard of crappie fishing like this on Erie, though. Obviously knew there were crappie there but I'd never heard of troohies. I used to fish a private lake in portage county where they were freakishly big. A 13 incher was heavier than a 17 anywhere else, and i got them up to 17 out of there! Sadly smaller lakes seem to change every few years it would seem. Im in twin lakes. Its provate, not a ton of pressure and its nothing like it was ten years or so ago when i was in my early 20s

I know a few guys who crappie fish. It has always been hit or miss for them. More miss than hit. Sandusky Bay & Vermillion River.

Lake Erie in Ohio doesn't really narrow it down for us...LOL I've covered the whole coast with google earth, the only place like this would be Sandusky bay. I know we don't have Crappie like this in Presque Isle Bay over here in PA, I'm jealous! Nice fish!!!

Not a 3lb crappie. They're in sandusky bay, south west corner before the railroad bridge. I don't think there is a size or number limit on Erie either.
