Brushroll No Spinny on my Hoover The One Pet - Can I Fix It??

Ahhh the horror!!!!!
Here's one of the trio of Hoover The One series machines that I bought new (graded) back in 2007 / 2008.
It's sat in the garage for many years. I saw it the other day covered in filth and thought I'd really like to clean it up and make a video of it. So I plugged it in but there was no life in the brushroll.
In this video we're going to open up the head and see if we can get it working again.

We enjoyed seeing the workings of this brushroll. It is interesting seeing how different manufacturers and their models achieve effective pickup of dust and debris. We tend to start cleaning with a good blow out either with an air duster or vacuum before contact cleaner. We also prefer dry silicon spray rather than grease for squeaks. Great video 👍

Isnt that the one you did the fireplace ash pickup mega test for Steve ? As sad as it sounds ive always fancied one of these - only ever had a couple of the final iterations of these (zoom and performer lol)and know they were crap but id love to try an original the one for my sins (but theyre like rocking horse shit to find)
