USA we have water heaters, gas or electric. Water for shower, bath sink, kitchen sink, and laundry. Modern homes either direct heater as used or solar heating.

I had the same issue with the original generic floor tool. Broke my back vacuumin the carpets. I remember in the 90s we used to have AEG Vampyr with a carpet head with a metal plate at the bottom. Brilliant. So I just bought a knock off carpet tool head for my Miele, it has that magic smooth metal plate, which will magically glide over the carpets, fantastic compared to the plastic original crap that doesn't glide but sticks to the carpets and makes vacuuming a struggle..

The shorter tube on the bent end worked well with the telescopic wand as supplied with the early ZA65. When the second incarnation of the ZA65 came into being it showed two cosmetic differences. The blower port changed from metal to plastic and the cleaner was only supplied with a single wand. Some of the second series did have the telescopic wand and shorter bent end but I think this was solely due to Electrolux using up pre-existing stock. To get the length the bent end had a longer aluminium tube which when used with the single wand provided the necessary reach for the user. You are quite right that the narrower thread catcher on the floor tool was ultimately replaced with a much wider variant. Thanks for the video - brings back memories of my Grandma's 65 - I now have one of my own LOL.

I took the M100 Mighty Mini apart to clean it, but now I can't remember how the large washers in the middle piece (shiny silver fan) went. It looks like you remove one washer above and one underneath the fan. When I put it back together, it is not tight. One large washer is flat, the other large one has an edge. Which one goes on first and how? Does it have another piece that goes in between? Please help!

Know this is old but I just took mine apart, cutting the hair and cleaning the tubes was finally not enough. Screws on the bottom and under the caps on the sides got the sides off, from where the main roller could be slid out. But then the ends of the roller (which are hard to turn on mine through hair getting in the cracks) couldn’t be taken off because one end has a white plastic jockey wheel, the other a cog. Any thoughts on getting the ends of the big roller off cos as it stands we’re in a red light no roller situation!!

Its crazy as late as 2001 they were making a domestic vacuum that looked like that under the Hoover name. Kind of glad in the US we had the Elites and Windtunnels.

Wish i could buy this in 2024, in the USA We only get cheap chineese twin tubs, their decent, they work, but relibility is how you would expect with a nearly 100 % plasitc washer. Theirs no heating element, no models with agitators, most dont even have a drain pump... Though they are very light and easy to move around. I dont have a automatic since my old hotpoint broke, years ago. I finally got a twinny, and i quite like it. Beats the dam laundry mat.. and it gets my very soiled work clths clean vefy quickly. My work cloths have loads of break dust from cars, and other asorted auto fluids and dirt. Which quicky saturates the little water the modern machinese, top load or front load, provide. so i refuse to buy a modern automatic. Their complete crap in my opinion, ( usa HE Machines) so it would be awesome if i could get something like this. It would be a godsend, thay agitation would really clean my shirts.. alas i dont think they sold twinies in the us lile this. And im not into teying to take a 240v euro machine and trying to make it work on 125v usa power.. ao basicly im screwed, considering used top loaders circa 1990s like a fliter flo.. still would prfer this... Lucky uk ppl. 😢

Bosch makes decent bagged machines but germans simply just can't do bagless. From Miele to Bosch they simply just can't do it. In fact, the brits seem like the only ones who can. Americans suck at it as well. Hoover can't do it to save their lives.

Any ideas on removing the handle on a U6000 series? You can pull it to the end of the metal but it will not move any further. I am trying to ship it and my prices are going to double if I can't get it off. I have never had a vacuum designed like that.

I love your video, but I also love my Electrolux nimble vacuum cleaner !!! I just made it up to the part where you're showing their crappy multi-purpose crevice floor cleaning tool; you're absolutely right... that was a piece of crap... I totally forgot about it because it broke a long time ago. And yes you are missing the cord storage clip on the bottom of the hose, where it goes into the machine.. not that I ever use it as I wrap the cord arm's length a few times and throw it over the top. That said upon getting the machine and realizing that it really didn't come with any tools except for a little brush and that crappy thing that you're talking about 8 minutes in, I did spend another 35 to $40 from a vacuum cleaner accessory shop for all the fun tools that should have come with it, including a universal tool adapter to make their tools fit my machine. I did get it for about $150 new + 20 shipping from Sam's club and it was so much better than any other vacuum I've ever had.. Hoover was the last one and first one with a HEPA filter.. the upright one was good but the canister was garbage.. so this was the highest end vacuum I've ever owned and it still works, so I love it.. only thing that snapped was a little piece of plastic on the top of the canister but since the back clip is fine once I snap it into the machine it doesn't make a difference. Just was thinking that I never found the HEPA filter on it so it's never been cleaned ..I do have two replacements.. when they talk about a permanently sealed HEPA filter I took them at the permanent, not realizing that I should be taking it out every so often, but it still works great. Looking forward to seeing what the hippo looks like after this long lol
