BRUTAL CRASH AT WERN DDU QUARRY ENDS WALES ENDURO TRIP EARLY

We headed up to Wern Ddu quarry in Wales the Enduro heaven for what was supposed to be an epic weekend of enduro with the boys. This brutal enduro crash fail and bail ended that early. After having seen the recent stuff Billy Bolt, Rocket Ralph and MidwestMX had done here I had my sights set high. Unfortunately that was not meant to be.
As one of the Enduro mecca's Wern Ddu Quarry, in Wales is somewhere we have been a couple of times and I definitely had some new challenges that i wanted to take on. We had a big group of us there too on Husqvarna TE300's, KTM 300, KTM TPI 300's, Gas Gas 300's and so much more.
So getting back to the crash, you will see the brutal crash and the aftermath. Even in this video i didn't realise how bad the injury would be, but i count myself lucky for only having gotten as little as i did. it could have been so much worse.
We had also planned to ride H2O the next day after Wern Ddu, which the guys still did but i missed out on that. It looked like a great place to ride too. I am definitely going to have to head up to wales again soon for a sick enduro weekend once the hand heals.

9 times out of 10 ,you would have easily made it back down that hill. Unlucky break m8 ,it comes with the territory. I've had tiny little offs ,with big consequences. Keep your head up m8 ,get well soon.

Yeah was definitely a reality check. I could have come away from that a lot worse off. Lesson learned in being lazy with bike placement and setup for decent. Rushed the top and paid the price at the bottom.

I didn’t quite realise I really did need the help in the instance 😂 Definitely a lesson learned and all part of the journey. Just grateful it wasn’t worse and still have the itch to ride so can’t be all bad 🤘🏼

Yeah, it’s the knowing when you should ask... It could have saved me this and meant I had a full weekends worth of solid riding. Went to H2O the next day too but has to just watch the boys ride. Simple fix. Carry a decent strap so you could have dragged the bike up that last 2 m on the hill. Turning back was not the best of all the options.
