Brutal Death of Magda Goebbels - First Lady of Nazi Germany Who Killed Her Own 6 Children - WW2

Magda Goebbels, the daughter of an unmarried Catholic maid, was born as Johanna Maria Magdalena Ritschel on 11 November 1901 in Berlin, then part of the German Empire. On 30 August 1930, she attended a meeting of the Nazi Party where she was impressed by one of the speakers, Joseph Goebbels, then the Gauleiter of Berlin. Magda and Joseph Goebbels got married on December 19, 1931 at the estate in Severin, which belonged to her ex-husband Quandt, who knew nothing about the wedding. Goebbels was excommunicated from the Catholic Church for marrying a Protestant, who was also divorced. Adolf Hitler was the best man and Magda’s son Harald, then ten years old, attended the ceremony in his Hitler Youth uniform.

In addition, Magda Goebbels was required to prove her pure Aryan background. Ironically, she claimed to have no knowledge of her paternal grandfather who is believed to have been Jewish. Whereby, failing to prove or disprove her grandfather was Jewish. Also, it is believed that her Jewish step-father may have in fact been her real father. In school, she had a female best friend who was Jewish. I believe she was part Jewish. Good video.

People are monsters. Even if they were put into protective custody with a new identity (which I doubt the soviets would ever do) they would eventually either learn the full extend of what their parents did or someone else would figure out who they are. Honestly they were probably better off dead than in Russian hands. There's no telling what they would have done in revenge or if the children ever would have been reported found alive at all. The papers would say the bunker staff revolted, killed/raped the kids and burned the parents

That was not her reasoning though, she said what her reason for killing them was. It was essentially so they wouldn't live as outcasts and hated by society for who their parents were. She had an option to get them out safely and denied it, so that wouldn't have happened. Which is probably why these things were not on her list of reasons why she was going to do it when she explained it.
