@LORDSTRISH-PSN His character is in WITNESS To The MOB. Abe Vigoda is Paul Castellano. The film is based on the book Underboss, and the Sammy the Bull character is the central figure. Tim Sizemore (RIP) plays a very good John Gotti. He was not as good as Armand Assante was, but he did a very good job. There are several scenes with Bilotti in it, and he has dialogue with Paul.

Man I’m never joining the mafia, imagine you’ve demonstrated to the police you’re not going to talk, everyone close to you knows your character and knows you won’t talk…but the guys you’ve been loyal to your whole life decide you gotta die just incase. F that.
@perpetualmotion3572 ай бұрын
Yeah, that is BS and it happened a lot. I doubt they mention that in the ceremony of getting made that even though you've been loyal, you're going to probably get whacked just in case. Just the paranoia and stress doesn't seem worth it. Too many nutcases get made, and now you are forced to associate with fellow members even if you don't like or trust them. It's not an organic circle of friends you make in a regular society. Being stuck in the company of a guy like Roy Demeo would suck. Loyalty gets thrown out the window when money is involved. Money is their god.

How does a street-hustling guy from Brooklyn's Flatlands gets to the top of one of Manhattan's banks?? The connections - the REACH these people had back then were unbelievable. He basically "emptied" the whole bank's capital and made it in such a way, that no one even dared to snitch on him - I'm guessing they had ALL their "fingers in the pie", so nobody could recognize him (couldn't or WOULDN'T given they would be basically pointing their fingers at themselves, too!) ...and then he simply walked away! ...like it was nothing!?... PS. By that time he didn't even develop his "reputation" yet... He probably simply "slipped right through" the fingers, right under the Feds "ever-watching eye", even the ones of the most efficient and ruthless Fed-agency - not the FBI, nor ATF or DEA ...but the IRS! 😄 ...the biggest gangsters around!...

In my opinion, it's just being born American. The people aren't right in the head there, thanks to their culture who is militant and discourages any kind of independent thinking, especially today, so this society produces extremists, you never see anyone balanced, a healthy mind, and they appear to be completely ignorant of it. It's why there's so many serial killers and truly twisted individuals with countless people cheering them on. He's basically a poster child of the culture in a different era. The title 'Greatest Mafia Boss' says it all. Came from a good family too thats another reason why Demeo is such an interesting case. No one will ever really know what led to him becoming a complete sociopath. Drugs obviously played a part but that cant be all of it.

I think Abe Reles and his crew would have thought twice about going after Roy , Joey and Anthony. Any time Piza was ordered by this crew you know some poor git was hanging upside down over a bath and soon to be dispatched in pieces to the local refuse site.
