You should add sound effects when shell casings and magazines hit the floor like it is in regular BD.

Thanks, this is now fixed. I must also say that when reviewing the casings, some sounds were missing entirely such as clip and rock barrel drops.

BD64 is a mod based on Doom 2. The maps and original mod were based off Kaiser's Doom 64 Absolution for the Doomsday sourceport. Sgt Mark IV ported these assets to work with the GZDoom/Zandronum and created Brutal Doom 64. This v2.666 project is a continuation of that work with new features, monsters and weapons.

Yes, when I compiled in Wadsmoosh I had all the official maps packs including the master levels. Wadsmoosh is a tool to merge all these into one pk3.

There is a bug where if you punch or kick a Chaingunner with berserk it will show a regular Zombieman upon death.

This is now fixed. Also fixed is the BFG zombie which had the same issue.

In my opinion, Doom 64 ambient is much better than PSX Doom which sounds somewhat strange in D64 maps. I think i'll continue with the original. UPD: I think BFG can be enhanced a little more, it looks strange that the bruiser cannot be destroyed in one shot, what do you think, Steve?

The Bruiser is a bullet sponge mancubus monster. Rather than increase the BFG damage which would affect every monster, I could increase the damage factor from BFG for this monster specifically.

The bruiser and Belphegor have been adjusted. Before they couldn't take radius damage, now rockets and BFG will be more damaging when radius damage is added on top.

@@denissylan18 Since the Bruiser is a step up from a Mancubus, it needs to be tougher it needs to be tougher than a Mancubus sort of like a mini boss. Two BFG shots sounds reasonable to me. One BFG does almost kill it. I just wanted to be sure it was dead.

Could the Shotgun Guy have the correct grey pants for some death animations instead of using the Zombieman death sprites that have green pants? Only standard death and chainsaw death have grey pants. The death animations animations that would need grey pants are Shotgun death, headshot, arm loss, and leg gibbs. The Shotgunguy also has a bug where if you punch with berserk they will appear as a Zombieman for 1 frame in pain state.

I am not sure why you now keep repeating this comment. I am currently reworking the monster deaths to fix a number of small issues. Currently there are no gibs done for the shotgunner variant which use the zombie man ones as you have said. I have to take the time to create them. Please be patient as this bit is going to take some time.

I am not sure. We already have the high calibre box replacements and high calibre ammo is also obtained from the weapon drops of the chaingunner and zombie marines.

Go into the BD64 Options/Performance and Misc options. At the bottom of that menu is the option to disable footstep sounds.
