Captain Jack I agree. I think the best 4cylinders ever made is the ct9a 4g63t and the k series for sure . Also the sr20 is close but not quite

IIIRattleHeadIII oh yeah man! A ct9a 4g63t has been able to stay together in 700hp evos. For how long? No one is certain, but I’ve heard of guys making 500-700 hp evos for years on a stock bottom end. But yeah these days they could do anything with any older engine, but for some reason no company wants to redesign their old engines :/

The 80s and 90s Japanese performance engines produced today would cost a lot of money, let alone if they re-design them and then produce them again. Japan's economy suffered heavily in 1995 and then much worse in 2008 and then 2010(or 2012) when the earthquake and tsunami hit them. They had to remove the nuclear power plants and the damage done was huge and in general, everything is ways more expensive for them now. On top of that performance car sales have plumitted heavily due to performance cars getting much more expensive due to emissions and safety regulations... On top of the other increases in price of cars. They just can't afford it anymore. Honda and Subaru are the last remaining ones and they are using slightly refined super late 90s and early 2000s engine designs too.

St-Laurent Louis Yeah, True BUT... You dont need much torque to get something that weighs 900kg to boogy. 200tq and 220hp at the wheels is more than enough to take on 300-400hp boosted cars and V8s
