If Danessa Myricks did a neutral palette in her light works format at the same price point I think that would fly off the shelves faster than any Pat McGrath palette.
@BaileyB2 жыл бұрын
Can you imagine?! It would need to be permanent too because these limited release hard-hitters are ruthless!

Yes I would be first in line!! I love how these shadows feel but can’t personally justify the cost for shadow colors I can only wear when I’m working (conservative office culture)

You should have so many more followers than you do! I don’t watch much beauty YT anymore, but you popped up onto my feed today. No longer buying palettes, but great reviews. I have always ❤ your sensibility and humor. Hope all is well.

I really appreciate your comment, Laurie! I know so many people have had their fill of new makeup, so I wanted to make something that would entertain -- even if buying wasn't why you were watching. I'm so happy to hear you liked it!

That CT palette makes me sooo mad! She replaced her annual instant look in a palette that had eyes and face, containing 7 shades, with this more expensive palette which contains 4 shades, 1 of which is a repeat shade! She then decided to discontinue the 12 pan palette that was ~$75 with the pot shots 1 pan ONE PAN for $34!!! Oooooo so angry, especially with the global situation, feels a bit like extortion. That rant over, it looks stunning, looks actually pink which really works on us pink girls as opposed to the peaches she usually calls pink, and I am really genuinely happy for those of you that bought it and love it.

I wish the danessa palette was more everyday colors too. Been spending my money on rocks and crystals lately. They've got the same pretty colors as makeup. 😅

I was not expecting much from the Huda pallet but every review of it has been pretty good. But your review really made me put it on my wishlist. But before I purchase any more eyeshadows I have to finish a few up…even though I hit pan on a few. And that dm pallet - dang-drooled when I saw you applied them to your lids. Thank you for the reviews.

@@rree4551 I've been trying a lot of samples on Luckyscent. I love gourmand fragrances and my favorite indie perfumes so far are Tihota by Indult and Paris L.A. by WWDIS. For more mainstream, I've been loving Burberry Her and Valentino's Donna Born in Roma!

I hate when they include cream shades and glitters in powder eyeshadow palettes. If I want a base I'll use a separate one. Make a cream shadow palette, but don't combine them. A lot of us like either or.

Yup and the creams dry out.

The Danessa Myricks Vol 4 being the best palette of all time is accurate.
@BaileyB2 жыл бұрын
She really outdid herself with that one.

I disagree, Pat's palettes are wearable. See nobody has a special occasion need everyday. And as much as I like to watch Danessa Myricks eyeshadows they are a bit on the extreme side. How many of those sparkly artistic shades one needs? For those who know a thing or two about marketing these two brands are catering to two different target groups. I find Pat Mcgrath quality impeccable, easy to wear from morning till evening as long as you adjust the quantity and the depth of the eyeshadows you put on your lid. Danessa is more on the artistic style, editorial, and catering for make up artists who want to show off their work, so it is not possible to compare these brands because they do not target the same audience. I would agree though with overdone pinks and I hope they bring in more natural greens, blues, grays, especially gray which I miss in these palettes. Often people don't know the difference between sparkly gray and silver but that tells about the limited choice on that spectrum. My 2 cents on this subject.
