can't call it an 'l-twin,' but it is. doesn't matter though, liquid cooled. real men only ride air-cooled.

Love SV 650's, especially in pearl vigor blue, my favorite color. Just bought a '23 SV, before they're no more. Blue tank and tail, bronze frame and wheels. Long live SV 650's!

I have a 2000 SV650 running a Delkevic exhaust. Sounds great, and runs frighteningly well once we got the carbs sorted. Love this bike so much
@9.5to1
@9.5to1 2 жыл бұрын
That is wicked! The delkevic is a very similar exhaust to SP engineering. The carby model is great. rejet the carbs. You get a kit, comes with a new jets and a new needles. It's good you did that to match the exhaust and let that great twin breathe!

Yoshi sounds deeper and not as harsh. The shorty sounds like my Delkevic in my 08 SV. Not bad but a bit louder and harsher. The SV sounds completely different while at wide open throttle and high rpm’s.

I found the sp pipe made idle a bit rough but overall the engine felt more rev happy and gave good midrange power. Sound is amazing. Rs3 improved the sound alot from stock, definitely opened it up but still feels choked compared to the sp canister. This was on the efi sv650 in the video.

@swamp-reportdotcom4983

People tend to prefer the second generation SV. Its lighter, alloy frame bigger tank. Inexpensive on used market. The 2003 was very popular as it was the first of the second generation.
