binder clips around the edges of the backdrop work great for tightening things up and eliminating the wrinkles , using a cheap 6 dollar 'light grey' throw , it grips and holds many types of materials in place , for heavier things like coats and jackets a hanger clip installed behind the throw hides it in the pictures and gives a place to use a hanger when needed. If you decide to go back to the board with a blanket for clothes, my suggestion is, do away with the easel, and put bed risers on each bottom corner. Great video!! Love your humor! I have been reselling for over 20 years but clothing only in the last few. I'm still refining my systems for that every day. LOL You will find that that angle for the clothing will wreck your back, leaning over it. I use one Pink Panther foam board, covered with the white fur cloth, and it stands more upright, and I use a hook or hang off the top edge. I keep it leaned up against the wall in my office/work area. It's not as wide as yours but works for pretty much everything clothing that I list. I have seen another reseller use a setup kind of like Chris's but he has a section cut out of the bottom where he can stand. I think he can fold that section back in place if he has long items. So many great ideas out there. Glad we can all help each other!! : )

Sherri, thank you for the video. (subscribed!) I love your sense of humor. I am a reseller as well and I feel like we have the same pet peeves. Listing clothing is one of my least favorite things to do. I have let my clothes just pile up. Well, I have let my whole reselling area get a little out of control for real. Your video helped me to see that, and that I need to get on the ball and get back to working reselling like a real job. Because it is my freaking real job! Yeah, this video helped me wake the eff up and try to get my house back from my ever-growing DEATH PILE and get back to the basics and just have fun shopping and selling. Happy hunting and thanks again for the video. I will surely check out some of your other ones as well.

Actually you’re one of my favorite “you tubers” that also thrifts for resale. Your content is fun and I’ve learned a lot from you as well. I’m a 1/8 part time reseller. 😆😆 but like you would like to increase my sales. I’m a retired teacher so the discipline of a schedule again isn’t really appealing, I do know though it’s how I, personally, am more productive. This is such a timely video for me. I wish you success but also don’t want you to burn out on the eBay/KZbin journey. ❤️❤️

😊I absolutely love your personality 💕. I am just starting to learn how to resell. I have only started with marketplace and only locally. Cause I have now learned the shipping part yet. I am actually confused on shipping. Do I pay, do they pay. Do I pay for supplies like packaging? Some say post office has free stuff. Then I hear ya'll gotta buy it. So yes everything is complicated.. But so far I am up to about $50 a day. Just locally. If you have advice would love it.. otherwise I'll keep watching ya'll learn videos 📹. Thanks girly and Hey all the way from South Dakota...

Thank you, thank you! I needed to see that there are other resellers out there having the same feelings of being motivationally challenged. Your advice, sharing the knowledge from those other awesome resellers, whom I have watched in the past, and your courage was great. More importantly, your honesty is helping me "get over myself" and move forward.

Hi, Sherri, thanks for the fun and inspiring video. I am a part time reseller in Texas and just subscribed. The part where you are talking out each item you find at the thrift store was helpful. I need to get into that mindset and be more picky as well. Looking forward to the next one!

Lisa, there are times I have picked up stuff because it’s pretty or it’s cheap and you know what those things are now in a pile that I’m gonna be selling at a yard sale because Sherri didn’t do any research. ❤️❤️❤️

What a great video! This is the first video of yours I have watched & I subbed immediately. I really enjoy the humor & the editing is amazing! Thanks! Edit- I am sure you’re familiar with Jocelyn, the Crazy Lamp Lady. She’s one of my favorites, but I also enjoy Lori Tata & Amy with Yosoboho. There are so many great reselling channels that I watch, I could go on & on, but I am sure you’re familiar with most of them, too. 😊

Linda, I rarely watched any resellers up until recently because I didn’t want to compare myself and then make myself feel bad for doing such a bad job. But, I am realizing that there are so many awesome resellers that share a wealth of knowledge that I desperately need to because a better reseller. ❤❤❤

@@SimplyThriftingWithSherri - I think you would like Karen with “Lavender Clothesline”, too. Her organization is the best of any resellers have ever seen. She runs her eBay business out of her home, using her basement for her inventory. I think I have learned more from her than anyone! I think you’re doing great, but there’s always more to learn, right? :) xo Edit- also “George, The Antique Nomad” is awesome, if you like to learn about vintage & antiques :)

Another stellar performance, Sherri! I love your processes and insights and I’m really glad to see a “how-to” video on this. I’ve been watching start up videos for well over a year and still have not pulled the trigger to start my eBay sales. I have a bunch of everything- clothes, glassware, hard goods - and if I don’t start listing soon, I won’t have a place to sleep. lol. Couple things: how do you determine what shipping supplies you need, and would you use the same eBay account that you have used make purchases?
@SimplyThriftingWithSherri4 ай бұрын
Becky, I've been using the same eBay account for 20 years to both sell and purchase items. When I first started reselling I had no idea what shipping supplies I needed so it's just grown organically. And I save EVERY box that comes into my home! 😂
@brendatomlinson4 ай бұрын
Hey Becky, I’ll chime in! Def use your same eBay account because: 1) A new account with no feedback will attract scammers PLUS buyers are wary to buy from sellers with low-to-no feedback. 2) You’ve probably already got great positive feedback. Most buyers aren’t going to scroll thru your feedback. I sell 90% hard goods, vintage & breakables. Nothing is standard size. I get my boxes and packing materials from friends and neighbors. And Dollar Tree boxes when they’re unpacking inventory. They have some quality boxes and the girls love that I’m taking boxes while shopping, as it saves them work. Buying shipping supplies really cuts into your profits. Try to get free whenever you can. Whew! Long winded.

I used to watch Hustle at Home Mom, but she got a bit too selective only thrifting very high dollar items that just aren’t seen in thrift stores in my area very often. Plus, she has some exclusive sources that aren’t available in most areas. Still, I guess she has some good information.
