You do realize that NHL 23 and 24 were way too fast for gameplay speed it took away from actually hockey plays and IQ, whereas you just needed to skate around players. You just need to adjust and get used to a more normal game speed (realistic vs arcade).

@@TrewCrew It was huge change and I have heard that Online is harder to adjust too, with how the games are being played and what is being used. Playing offline games it took me 5-6 games to get used to it and start to play more with quick passes.

As a person who absolutely hated nhl 24, I feel like nhl 25 is a bit better. Still hate the dumb pressure meter, and the nerf they did to dumping the puck however I love the new LT animation when skating with the puck and it’s a lot harder to get stuck on your ai teammates as that was a real pain in the ass last year.

@@Calman85 but like I shouldn’t have to wait 3 seconds holding rb to “charge it up” ea says they want to be realistic by adding pressure meter etc but in real life they don’t have to charge up to dump the damn puck. If I’m on a pk I want to flip the puck out asap. Miss the old dump

Ive been playing since early access. N i was playing 24 for weeks prior off of gamepass. This is the 1st one ive actually bought in 10 years. Its 100% different from 24. I was playing it everyday n jumped right to 25 early access as soon as it released. The skating is more fluid, the one timers are way better. The Goalies are better in close range. The IQ of the players and where they move on the ice is SO much better. Non puck handling players dont collide with one another all the time. The cpu D on All-Star and up is lit. Ur ability to set up offense and lace moves together is vastly different n way better. The players also seem scaled down a tiny bit for more ice space. Im 39 and have basically played almost every one. Many from gamepass ultimate in recent years. This is a huge step in the correct dirction and is drastically different. Franchise mode is way better too. This is no roster update

3 best ways I have found to score on all-star to superstar difficulty. 1- The skill based one-timers are legit, no BS 2- In the slot (between the opponents face-off circles), quickly manual deke, backhand to forehand wrister or snap high opposite side, or go forehand to backhand back to FH wrister away. (Very sick) 3- coming in on an angle from the same side as ur hand (cause this move to backhand is best, but u can do both) right in front of the goalie stride deke ( holding LB & flicking LS down while gliding)..You will switch to BH right in front of the goalie and smoke um...This also works going straight at goalie but you gotta do it super quickly n works best on an angle. Remember friends....make sure ur gliding while attempting dekes, especially toe drags and stride dekes. Manual dekes you can do both..anything else, glide.

For me this game is WAY TO FREAKING SLOW!!!!! They don’t have to make it so super realistic. In nba 2k you got players doing dunks they can’t do in real life and that makes it more fun in my opinion. SPEED UP THE GAME!!!

I was casually watching this on my tv but had to hop on my phone when I heard you mention, “man I wish they got rid of the X factors, I hate them so much.” I could not disagree more with that statement and I sort of think it’s not just opinion incorrect, but factually incorrect. they are a great addition to the game since they’ve been in and make the players actually play different and feel apart from one another with different skills. In complete honesty for me, i think the X Factors are actually among S tier changes EA has made to this franchise through the years, and that’s coming from a guy who’s first nhl was nhl 03 with Jarome Iginla on the cover. Would be a complete regression for the series if they got rid of them and I’d probs stop buying and just play old editions of the game if they did at this point. Alright, you said your opinion, and I’ve said mine, I can now finish the video lol

It’s much better at this speed. The focus is more so on passing than just blowing by with a fast player and forehand-backhanding the goalie short side.

I like that its slower. I don't want an arcadey type game like 2K used to make. I think it feels a lot better this year, especially the passing and skating. I mean, Ullmark is pretty good lol

If you're wondering why he got 3 of the same goals in a row, it's because you're AWFUL at checking at your own blue line. You miss almost every time. That gives your opponent an odd man rush.

You should genuinely stop making videos in the polite way. Not to be mean but I’ve been around since nhl 13 or so and like a lot of us that have seen the crap direction this game has gone in the sense of useless ai, positioning, lots of things,,, when they finally do address some large issues, make the game play better, feel more fluid.. like they do the first “right” thing in years and people like you still whine. It baffles me.

it should be slower, maybe EA is tired of the super arcade crap with a hundred shots on goal with 10 minute periods...it's actually human speed instead of the Arcady shit that's been out for decades. Then people complain its too slow then the game turns to crap again. All it ever was was end to end shot after shot crap. Look at a real game from above and see how the defense reacts fast and most the time snuffs out attacks. In this crap the puck is like it's on a stick with a magnet and players skate like fast cyborgs. Shot after shot as the defense just watches instead of checks them out of the play like what happens in real hockey. SO I don't know how this years' game is, but it looks slightly improved defensively and speed wise.

3:27 Commentary OFF, thank GOD for that! I hate the commentary also they are repetitive non-sense quotes and the analyst is very annoying! For the last passed years I bought the game on Black Friday, it never lifts up and goes on sale quickly. It's a ripoff at 89.99$ + tx CDN dollars! Tks for that great review, I even think about skipping it this year, it will be a first since the first edition back in the genesis era. Yeah I am an old 55yo gamer!
