I love everything what 2k is doing except for me having to buy VC to have a decent player. When you play Tekken, you're matched up with players on your skill level all the time. Sbmm keeps things balanced.

The real issue isnt sbmm when it comes to matchmaking when it comes to REC specifically. The issue is if I come in with less than 5 then I shouldn't be matched up vs a full squad. Full squads should only go against full squads in REC imo.

Heres my thing with sbmm is when I run wit friends who do not have a red plate I have to carry every game. Or jump on a lesser rep build just to keep them from playn people on my level and dats been one da main problems for COD for a while now. SBMM should bring balance, balance brings retention and retention increases profit for 2k. The competition is stiff because 90% of the comp community play the same, 99 3 ball and dribble point, lock, and 6’7 board hunting stretch now tell me I’m wrong? My literal question is how is that 2k fault?

It is partially 2ks fault cause they give u no choice. If u make 6'4 or under guards u get wayy more attribute points meaning u can dam near have 90s in every category and that's if u tryna do it all. But if u got a squad u can skip on certain things to get those 99 threes and dribbling and shit meanwhile u make a 6'5 or above and u can just about get a 90 on 2 categories and I mean just about u gon have to cut out some shit or get the bare minimum requirement on certain shit. So shit what u expect. I made a 6'6 for my first build cause I like taller guards it suit my playstyle more but now im bout to join the darkside I already got a 6'3 in the builder just waiting for vc to upgrade it 😂😂

You yourself just explained the problem with sbmm. Everybody in the higher brackets are mass majority meta players so all the builds will be the same and the game will become stale very quick for higher tier players. Sbmm doesn’t let you experiment with different parts of the game because if you’re not using the best animations most of the time you won’t win.

There isn’t any wrong argument here at all. SBMM shouldn’t cause long wait times between games. However, I do think that the balance that it brings highlights an issue within the community. Not the game. There is a lack of variety in play and builds when ppl make the same builds and use the same animations because so and so says so or 2klabs put out data that states it. No one forces anyone to play a way or make a build but us. You can’t play a sport and NOT expect competition and it won’t go away.

The harsh reality of 2k is they have the confidence to add new features without fixing old issues. I have never seen characters go through people bodies more than this 2k. Un realistic interior to give inside bigs value yet there is no inside big in the NBA that is valuable. (Gobert is ass).

I said the same thing on a Jai Eazy vid, and I'ma say the same thing here: Usually, I just sit back and watch the chaos of the community lol, but I do actually have a problem w/ SBMM. I don't consider myself "comp". Sure, I think I'm decent, but last year I considered anyone running 5 out or zone as "comp"/tryhards for reference. This year, I'm a gold plate @77 ovr. Not only are my wait times crazy, but I'm getting matches against players waaaay better than me. I miss how it was on 24: some games I had bad teammates, other games the other team was bad, some games BOTH teams were bad (or good). I miss that ability to have games where I was the best player on the court while also having games where my team gets manhandled. I haven't played random REC for days. For me, someone who's not comp, but not terrible at the game, I'm just not having fun tryharding every match. I'm a casual, and SBMM is 2nd only to shooting as to why, at this moment, don't think 2k25 is better than 24 quite yet.
