2k made a huge mistake when they made steal cheap in the builder. Being a PG in this game is extremely frustrating when every team has 3-4 guys with 91+ steal. They should have made passing cheap instead and the game would play alot better

My whole thing about the steal spammers, they use all 3 of them bars and are still rewarded with a steal when I know their steal attribute is not at 99, 95, or 92 anymore. It's like, why have the 3 bar system if players still get rewarded for steals on defense, I use 1 or 2 of them bars don't get rewarded with a block.

Those ppl that spam steals usually get put out of position a lot too then someone "has to" pick up their man. It just breaks the whole team defense down. If the opposing team has a little discipline and patience they could get a lot of open and wide open shots

True though I will say it gets increasingly more difficult and frustrating the more spammers are on the other side. Because you can be patient all day but sometimes two of those gremlins come charging you and that ball is getting turned over. It’ll either be one of them bumps you, gets a poke and causes the stun, snatch it out the air if you try to throw too early, or my personal favorite is when 2k will just make you throw a pass to the concession stand when all you’re doing is throwing 10ft in front of you to beat the double team😂😂

But generally if that happens the team should remain spaced out so the open players can be spotted easier and recognize what defender is rotating but in Random Rec teammates don't understand that cause they're always moving around 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 Makes it more difficult to read the defense with everyone running around the whole game talking about "Cut, Cut" lmao. ok so i had a good game this morning on my SG went 11/11 FG and 5/5 from the 3 shooting seems a tad bit better when open but i will say layups and dunks feel like they took a hit YET AGAIN. dunking last week felt crazy getting posters left and right and getting decent layups but since that little update they did Thursday I'm getting knocked out of dunk animations like crazy, my meter is showing up and disappearing quick as hell. I don't know what 2K did but they keep fucking up man. The passing is completely dookie too. no matter how good your pass accuracy

I have to disagree with the steal argument, there is an art to steals. However because of the lack of consistency in the game we have seen a lot of plays that should lead to steals be recovered by the offensive team and lead to broken plays being rewarded. I think if those plays rewarded the defense as it should then we would see a lot less people complaining about steals. Unpopular opinion probably but I will stand on that hill.

Last night... im playing with minimum defence. Im cooking him up and hitting shot after shot in the rec. I checked his attribute after the game he has 70 blovk and 84 vert. I will blow pass him with a open labe and somehow he will teleport in front of me and block me. I have a 93 driving dunk. I have the ball once again at the end of the game and i say im going for a middy because im tired of this player getting fluke blocks. Guess what happens next. 2k forces me to do a layup and somehow he teleport to me once again to make me miss...

2K needs to remove the randomness when it come to dunking and put it back to the way it used to be. If I'm holding turbo I should attempt a dunk every time. RS dunking should be to force a CONTACT dunk but Square + Turbo should ALWAYS be to attempt an equipped dunk. Tired of being pulled outta my dunk animation and put into sum BS layup animation that misses 9/10 times. Especially when the attempt was uncontested and then turns contested at the last minute. If this is supposed to be simulation, then that should be a foul every time. IRL if someone attempts an open dunk and you jump into them while they're in the air it's a foul. 2K18 I believe is the 1st year that they introduced this random dunk generator. Letting the AI decide whether or not we attempt a dunk or layup on any given play even if we have turbo pressed

Tbh , I think chase down needs a nerf…. 2k lied about make the court bigger. There’s no way that if I’m at the basket already the center dropping from the corner should be able to cancel me out of a dunk animation. And then not even get the foul call….. Not gonna get into the screens because those been broken for so much time it’s crazy. We pay all this money and get a decent game … but these steals? Are crazy seems like they buffed it. A guard with HOF unpluckable gets ripped more than a big brining up the ball. The locks who just spam (after losing 3 adrenaline as well) they need a penalty for spamming after . I get guarded by locks spamming 6 times in one possession, blitz steals? Ridiculous Here’s another issue ….. everytime someone gets a pluck or even on the offensive side of the ball. The offensive player gets the ball back 90% of the time, you can do everything right and they get the ball back. The contest system is HORRIBLE . So we have to battle against L2 cheese with a contest that when you jump and knock somebody to the floor it’s still says “weak or moderate”. This game is really in a bad state tbh and I have an 85+ win percentage across all modes ( rec, proving grounds , 3s , pro am 3s and 5s) because for some reason when somebody says something about 2k y’all assume they trash , I just want a better basketball Xp!
